Is there a mph cut-off on my 02 Civic LX?

when ya say "MPH cut off" do you mean like a Limiter? meaning whenever you reach a certain speed it shuts off?

edit: if you are do a little searching because yes there is one!! but being your new you prolly don't know where search is so if ya look all the way up on the page you will see a flashing red button click it!!

How can I fix this to where it won't cut off? I want to put nitrous on it, but I don't see the purpose if it cuts off at 115. I've already had it to 110 no prob.

My EX cuts off at 118mph...but that's just so much faster than 115, right? lol

1. search..this topic has been hashed over 9821749 times (give or take a few)
2. 125 if you have a stick. (I know this first hand)
3. 115 if you have an auto (what I have read from other members)
4. This is a speed limiter..not a rev limiter (although your car has one of those as well.
5. Anyone that told you they went faster than125 in a civic with no ECU flash is BSing you. (except for maybe turboed...since I don't have a turbo I cant say for sure)

I wish it was 125 on stick, my LX is manual, and I cut off at 118 too... this is fixed with either a chip or send your ecu into JET

Nitrous wouldn't make your top speed any faster (in this application) but it would get you to 115 much faster than you get there now.
