Blustrek01's Dyno Results
Blustrek01 dynoed his car at NOPI also. He has the same intake as me, a DC header, and DC exhaust. He dynoed at 125hp.

He has a DC header and DC exhaust. They might work really well together.

omg, do you people not understand that a dyno gives you results at the wheels?
Stock EX has 127bhp. Actual whp is somewhere around 105.
Both of our cars are manual.

it can also be were you get your car dynoed at, sea level and temperature and hum idity can play some of a role. just like drag racing. also on a auto your numbers will be lower because you cant keep the car at redline like on a stick.
um, our cars are about 110 whp stock ... intake and header is not gonna give u 11 whp ... and i/h/e is not gonna give 20 whp
what the hell? 01's faster than 02's? ... what the **** kind of bullshit is that? why don't you (who believe) sit down and explain to be how the hell an '01 can be faster than an '02? ... same motor, same weight, SAME CAR ... so you're telling me a cupholder lid is gonna add 100 pounds of extra weight?

Hey Fly. . .. you got the exact same dyno numbers I did before adding a DC stainless header to the mix.
Injen CAI
DC TCS exhaust
(stock exhaust manifold)
116 WHP on a 2002 EX manual
After adding the header, I noticed (and I attribute this to a good match with the exhaust) that after about 3K the car reaches redline a bit faster than without the header.
I'm not saying it necessarily adds 10 HP. . . even in THIS CASE, but it was more a significant gain that I had expected. Too bad I won't get to do a final dyno before taking everything off.

like everybody says, it depends on your setup. i'm sure that DC Sport products work better when you have DC intake, header and exhaust. instead of mixin and matchin other parts from diff. companies
i can tell you all that my car is very similar to fly's car in the way it is set up. the only difference that i have is that i have a header. yes it dose make a big difference. i still have the stock down pipe with cat on. so i don't know if have the dc header and dc tcs is the advantage or not. i do know that when i got my header i did notice that the engine gained more rmps faster. also all the other factors were knocked out because we dynoed on the same dyno on the same day with in 30 mins of each other.

Nevermind, I just saw & heard the video that FlyRiceRacer02 posted and man that sounds really nice. Not overbearingly loud or whiny like most ricer setups, but just a little bit louder than stock, with nice not too deep sound. Actually sounds like something that an NA engine should sound like, very nice, I love that setup and want one now.
blustrek01 or FlyRiceRacer02, what DC Header type is it (4-1, 4-2-1 one-piece, or 4-2-1 two-piece)? Thanks again, and FlyRiceRacer02 thanks for posting that video, his ride sounds awesome and seems to perform awesome too. Oh yeah, what elevation were you guys at and how hot (w/ humidity percentages) was it during your dyno's?
