Ok.... now what I've gotta ask... How did you manage to drive and keep the camera still enough to get those, and how damn fancy is your digicam that it has a variable shutter (or are those with an SLR and scanned). Thats cool as hell. I don't think I have any night shots... but I'm not above going for some tonight.

XTREME2K2CIVIC - That first pic makes it look like your car is a toy! It looks like a matchbox ad.

(I'm not knockin it... just a weird angle I guess)

Just a guess - but I assume he used a timer.

Its not a matter of him holding it or not... its a matter of the car going 50 or 60 down the highway, and the camera aperture being open for well over 1 second (thats how you get the blurs), yet the interior is sharp. So the camera is somehow mounted (no one can hold it that still) in such a way that all the vibration of the car moving is damped out of it.

I actually have a Canon Powershot S30. I do most driving shots like the 2 above in 5 second exposures. My secret is I have a tripod in the back seat LOL! the two front legs are on the floor and level, the rear leg is shortened and sits on the seat. Then when your on a smooth enough of a road you can get great shots where the dash is clear and the window is blurred. I basicly reach back when Im driving and hit the shutter once and its set up to do 3 exposures in a row automaticly. So it works out quite well. I'll try to get some more posted tomorow. And in the future I'll try new tricks.

By the way, some nice photos posted here so far. Keep up the good work

1. Awesome camera.
2. I have to try that with my tripod! That sounds like a great idea!

Nikon CoolPix 5700 over here... will take more pix some time. I have a few night shots but I don't feel like posting them here now. Too lazy.
