Ok, I'm not sure if I this goes here or not but nonne of the other ones seem to work.
Here goes, I have a 1998 auto civic sedan which I am financing with my hard-earned cash. I didnt really want the 4 door automatic because i was hoping to one day make a project car or something, but i got it because my ma & pa convinved me that it would be more useful for the family. i could take them get groceries or do chores when my dad was working, so i though what the hell i can make that go as fast as the 2-door (yeah yeeah i know shoot me im a retard, besides it was good for them
. I never thought about me).
Anyway, its been 2 months and none of that sh*t has happened. So I'm thinking im gonna sell the car after im done paying it off, or i can sell it to my family so I can buy one (i dont want to trade it in because i do like the car). Or..... Do i just keep the car and invest cash into it. Im not obsessed with making the car the fastest thing in the world. I just want it to be fast enough to beat some people not all.
PRO: 1. I like the car because it is my first
2. i dont want to have to get up and out when they want to get out of the car
CON: 1. too slow
2. It will never be as fast as a manual coupe
3. I can get a faster car
I want to buy an acura or another honda coupe. Even better i want to buy a supra or a skyline (yes i know skyline = illegal on the street, I've always wanted on though)
thats all i can think of can anyone help me please? don't give me a smart-@$$ answer like i should have gotten the stick in the first place or flame me please I just want a helpful response.. Thank you!!!!!!!!!

Bite the bullet and keep the car for now. Wait until you can afford another car such as a 7 gen civic or even better an Acura (Model name here). Making mistakes come with the territory dude, sorry you got suckered.

i say keep it, pay it off (work your *** off, pay it off in 2 years, if that?) and sell it and buy a new car... something you'd like to own... forget your parents because they aren't the ones that are going to be driving it around.. so it has to be what you like
, i say pay it off, because you will lose all the money you put into it already, if you were to trade it back in to the dealer and get a new one... so that's my $.02
i was going to be in the same situation as you, parents wanted me to get a corolla, i said no! and picked one to my liking.. i wanted a 00 hatch, but were none at the lot so i got a 01 civic ex....

Hmmm... Sleeper Time?
For some reason the idea of a B18 powered sedan has some considerable shock value. Just think of the look on someone elses face if they get smoked by a Civic Sedan. The engine would "drop in", but you'd have to do a manual conversion or find an auto to swap, which is no fun.

1. Civics are not, by nature, fast.
2. It takes a good deal of money to make any Civic really fast
3. 4-doors are less to insure (I'm assuming you're under 18, let alone 21)
4. Coupes are stolen and broken into more than sedans
I'll have to agree with those who say to keep it and pay it off, THEN think about what you want to do with it. Keep it and buy ANOTHER car as a project (fun to work on and LEARN the stuff) or trade it in when the family issues are no longer a consideration and get yourself a "Honda" that IS fast. . . like an RSX Type-S.
1. The keeping it and getting a used car for a project is good if money is a consideration. Also, you can do things as your budget allows without the worries of making large payments on something more expensive.
2. Trading-in after a couple years is good because all the equity you'll have in your current car can be applied to whatever you shop for, lowering your residual balance on a loan, and subsequently, your monthly payments. Nice thing is, though. . .you get something like a Type-S that speed and style is stock and covered under warranty until you start modding it to a certain degree. But they ARE fast, right off the lot.
Either way, at least you have a good, dependable, and not totally unstylish sedan to play with for a while. My advice. . . . if you plan to keep it long-term for whatever reason, have a little fun with it. If you plan to eventually sell it or trade it. . . have a little fun, but see if the mods you end-up doing can be taken off and easily sold. That will also soften the blow of buying a more expensive car.
Hope that all helps in some way.

what kind of tailights exactly do you have? i know there are 2 sets of 6th gen.
do you have the first plastic tailights set or the better crystal tailights most recent tails before our generation?
i think the 99-00 sedan lights are way cooler than ours. u can also buy an aftermarket red/clear tails from the net and those are really nice.
