Civic 2005 ECU replacement question

Hello,
I just joined this forum and this is first post - I am hoping someone can help me.

My 2005 civic ECU got fried - possibly from a broken alternator bolt which is now fixed - so I went to the scrapyard but could not find the exact ECU

My original ECU is:37820-PLR-C74

The replacements ECU's from the scrap yard are 37820-PLM-C74 and 37820-PLR-C55

What do these numbers mean?

Which would you recommend I use as a replacement ?

Thank you .

Re: Civic 2005 ECU replacement question

For everyones info … found + bought a PLR-C72 had had it programmed at the Honda Dealer … car works perfect !!

As per Honda dealer, The original PLR-C74 has now been replaced by PLR-C75 … new C75 costs almost $1000 !!
