comment about this cheap bar
hi,
I know most of you have AEM CAI so you choose neurospeed bar.
Let's say I will not install CAL ever because most review showed that it only give 5-6HP. So I decide to try out this generic no brand bar.
please comment on it, be cruel but tell me why it sucks. Or you think it is not that bad? I have hear good review on it but I can't believe it because it looks so thin!
please tell me what you think.

Thin = bend = useless... get a thicker bar.
I'm gonna recommend the Neuspeed one because it's only $100, and its one solid piece. So you get as little flex as you can in the bar. And the end plates look super chinsy...
Sorry dude, but I'm a fan of getting what you pay for... and I just don't think that's gonna cut it.

That said it all.
yes,
even I think I am not going to install CAI before the warranty of engine finish, I am not going to get this thin bar.
It is just so thin! look at it...I don't think this will de the job.
I might just get regular no name bar, but thicker ones.

The Neuspeed bar does not cover the factory air cleaner. If the one pictured was installed, you would have to remove it to change your air filter.

I wish there were a strut tower bar that could be bolted to the firewall as well. seriously, if the brace is not attached to the firewall, there will still be movement. being the strongest part of the car, the firewall will not flex under any circumstance. for what's out there, neuspeed is definitely
for the price

well if you can find some other generic one piece strut bar, go for it, cuz one piece is better than 2 piece or watever. so spend wisely "neuspeed" if you someday decide want to get intake.

I am embarrased to say it, but I actually have this bar. I bought it shortly after I got my car, not knowing any better at the time and being low on funds. It is an improvement over stock, but not much I imagine. I haven't replaced it yet, so I can't give you a side by side comparison. I will more than likely do so this summer though.
I didn't put the Type-R sticker on, even though I'm missing out on some serious horsepower.

well, nothing to be ashamed off...
I see many car (older civics and integras) with it.
my only problem with it is that it seems very thin on the picture. Even if we only compare it with generic bar, it is still thin. therefore I doubt about its performance. However, I do not believe normal people in normal case would curve that hard to make it bend. In fact, I don't even think people usually drive that hard to even bend the chassis. ex: chassis can support 1000N and when we curve hard we push 800N inward or outward, with the bar, the chassis can support 1500N but we usually don't even exceed 800N, unless 70mi/hour at 60degree + curve (suicide)... so bars are for looks mostly....is like installing bullet proof winsheld while we will never get shot in general...can we make an analogy like that? am I right?
