Best options for Heavy Stereo

Lets see here, i probably have about 3-400lbs of stereo equipment in my trunk. Digital Designs 9917 (78lbs) us amps 2000X, PG 500.4 and aabout a 200lb box. What would be my best option. I was thinking tein ss. With that setup could i get an even ride height and use the damper(im not sure what this does) to stiffen up the rear as not to bottom out or what would you guys do.
Thnaks

Heavier rear means stiffer spring rates. Get a spring rate for the rear that's stiffer than the regular spring rate Tein SS comes with. I think you can ask for a custom spring rates when ordering the Tein's?

I think so... Just putting two and two together. You need stiffer springs to hold more weight. That's for sure. I also heard that Tein offers custom spring rates. Can anyone confirm this?

Ground Control has a set of coilovers with stiffer spring rates but you have to order them from GC. Snort2001 has them on his car. Despite that, the only problem he ran in to was his endlink breaking off his stock rear anti sway bar. He never noticed it happened until his car was raised because the crappy 12.0mm sway bar does nothing for the EX in the first place & the stiffer springs were already doing the job the sway bar is usually depended on doing. We don't know exactly what caused it to break except the trunk capacity was surely exceeded which put pressure on the endlinks by the sway bar being flexed excessively.

So if you have an EX, you might want to take it off.

No, when there's something in the trunk the sway bar is not under tension. Only when one side of the car is overloaded more than the other can that happen. The sway bar is under no tention when the car is evenly "pressed down".

I also believe tein can make custom spring rates. Also, JIC will too. I am not sure if the JIC's are out for our car yet. Also don't get goldlines, their spring rates are too soft for heavy stereo stuff.

Makes sense but weight still shifts from one side of the car to the other when being driven.

I doubt JIC will make coilovers for our cars considering they never made coilovers for any previous gen Civic coupes/sedans but they will for the SI. I heard some guy say that JIC says they'll fit our cars recently, however I was also told that another guy who did have to put them on had to modify something to get it to work on the front. JIC could just say it works just to make a sale IMO.

they will also make them for the RSX which are the same as the 7thgen. Those will probably fit better than the Si ones.
But we are all waiting for suspension parts now aren't we?
