i take it your not looking for springs then, go for tein basic's, i'm pretty sure they're in the $800+ range
Oh wow .... I didnt realize that my post didnt go through LOL. Well, here's more info. I want to lower my car safely and without immediate problems. I plan to have this setup for about a year until i get rims and an all-out suspension. I would be riding on the stock firestones of course
. Question is .... can i lower my car this way, with about $500? If so, what kind of setup would be best. I realize that getting springs will eventually blowout my shocks or something right? Cause i can get an Eibach Pro-Kit for 175 installed around my house. Is this fine by itself? or do I need to purcahse other parts as well (ie struts, shocks, etc.) Thanks in advance.

Yep, you sure can. Go ahead and get the springs. $175 for the springs + install?? Golden deal, I'd say. Unless you can DIY, of course. Your stock shocks SHOULD hold out for a while, so you don't necessarily NEED new shocks right away. Konis out now, of course, and I just got the official word from Tokico yesterday that theirs should be out by year's end. You MIGHT be able to wait for those depending on how and wear you drive. Don't know about KYBs or Bilsteins as of the moment. Good question about the stock Firestones, cuz' I had those for 2 weeks after I got lowered but just got Bridgestone Potenzas and I'm not sure there is much difference. So somebody else might have more info. for you (and me). Anyway, $500 is plenty to lower your car. Just make sure you get a rear camber kit and then an alignment ASAP otherwise those Firestones will be no more!
Well if you are going for just looks there isn't a problem with just getting the springs, your performance won't be to good, and your shoks are going to wear out fast, but if you are just keeping it for a year until you get an "all-out" suspension just the springs will be fine so you can get the look, however I would get camber adjustments because you are going to need them sooner or later anyway. If you want it to perform then honestly I wouldnt buy anything for $500 I would just save it so you can get your other suspension sooner. So go for the springs if you want the look, but if you are looking to perform then save your pennies.
