TOWER/STRUT BAR
QUestion.
What would be the advantage/disadvantages of placing a tower/strut bar.
( This is what's it called right? )
I have the constant problem of the car swaying too much when I do a hard turn at around 90+
Comments please.

i dont know of any disadvantages with it...it will make ur car more rigid, therefore less flex. It would make ur steering a bit tighter and ur handeling a bit better. i dont know how it would effect ur problem of the swaying though....

the biggest thing to help sway first, is to lower your car preferably with at least medium stiff springs. If you don't want to lower, then sway bars will make a bigger difference than strut bars will. So in order of things if you want to stop swaying get lowering springs with shocks or true coilovers, rear and/or front sway bars, and front and rear strut bars.

in orders of effectiveness:
tires/springs/shocks, sway bars, then finally strut/tie bars
there are a few other things.. but those are the things you can do right now to improve handling.
strut/tie bars are meant to stiffen up chassis from flexing during cornering or some other movement.... it wont do as much as getting new higher performance tires, or stiffer springs and shocks... or thicker sway bar... but strut/tie bars do work.
its main job is to stiffen up the chassis so when u take a turn... your car doesn't want to go in all these different direction...

THanks for your comments.
I really can't lower my car given the road conditions here, but I have already changed my tires ( 215/45 R 17 )
aren't sway bars expensive? I actually just wanted the strut bar coz' i can get a nice, affordable one for P 1,000 ( $ 13, made in taiwan )
