PROGRESS sway bar kit w/ tie bar
Recently got the "Progress" Sway Bar kit with Tie Bar. This is honestly
the best kit on the market for our cars!
I don't recall the exact numbers but I can tell you that they are bigger and
stronger than the bars on the Intega Type R!
A couple of the local Type R guys have driven my car and are foaming at the
mouth because they can't get this kit for their rides.
Progress only makes this kit for the 2001 + up Civic Coupe, 2002 + Up SiR (Si - US)
and the RSX as they all have the same suspension setup.
The kit includes the front and rear lower bars and the tie bar.
Those who only want a kit for cosmetic or the ever popular "just to have it" should
probably steer clear of this kit as it's not cheap and is VERY Extreme! It's a true
Slolom setup if there ever was one. I had them installed just before I had my Konig's
and summer wheels put back on. Took the car to a wet parking lot and put it through the paces (on winter tires) and the dash didn't dip even a bit despite the severity of the turn I was in! Now that I have the summers on all I can say is "OH MY GOD!"
Needless to say that the B16ers around here are a little pissed because they can't have this kit and are now trying to get custom brackets made so they can run at least the rear bars. It's nice to have the edge over the B16 for once...lol.
One peice of advice; if you get this kit and you already have a custom exaust you may have to make a small modification. The exaust will likely need to be hung higher at the rear (as mine did) since the rear pipe into the muffler will probably touch the bar.
Cheers!

Yep, I agree. Good stuff, but a little expensive. I love my front and rear progress sway bars. The ride is a little more harsh, but the increased cornering ability is well worth it.

that is the one that will not clear the dc tcs exhuast correct? i am not able to move my exhaust higher either because it is already real close to the bumper. anyway i can lower the exhaust with some longer hanger rubbers, maybe a half inch or so, and squeeze that rear bar in?

The RSX-R rear sway bar is 22mm.
The progress technologies rear sway bar is also 22mm, non?
I decided to go with the RSX-R rear sway (JDM Honda!) plus the skunk2 lower tie bar, because I thought it would fit better...am I wrong? Someone told me this, but if it's the same shape, I would have been better off getting the progress rear sway by the time all costs are said and done (shipping kills me).
Pharoh: do you get your suspension goodies in ottawa? If so, hook a brother up!
Actually, I'm pretty much done suspension, unless you can get Tein SS for $1700CAD tax in? (cash)?

I got the exaust custom hung after the bar was installed
and it's fine (DC TCS). At first it was a little noisy but only when the pipe
was cold for some reason, after the car warmed up it all went away. No matter
now, the rehang worked really well.

sweet.
where did you take it?
the front of my exhaust already rubs on the front sway bar (still stock, waiting to put progress on), so I think that will also be a big concern.
I'm just not sure where in ottawa I can take it? I've gone to a couple of places, and they shunned me because my car was lowered (in orleans).
Also, how much did it cost? Sorry to bombard you with questions...its just odd to see another member from ottawa that's active with the suspension tuning!

I have the DC5 rear sway bar, i put it on today, whom i got from Hondawerx, this thing flawking rules. Im very close to the TCS but i am not resting on it, however when i turn hard left i hear a small knocking, not enough howerver to make me get it fixed though. I can notice a huge difference in the suspension with blown shocks. IMO either the Progress bar or the Type R bar is the best way to go. BTW, do you know if you can upgrade your endlinks also to the same size? Cause im sure there is way too much flexing in it.

I ordered the hotchkis endlinks from www.clubrsx.com
they had a group buy on it, not a bad deal!
You CAN upgrade them, and they are also supposed to make a world of difference.
If you have the DC5 (me too), go for the energy suspension polyurethane bushings in the rear! That will also make a nice difference!

And, they usually go for about the same price. The DC5 bar is pure JDM

I don't mind the blue. Plus, its not like it's that visible when your car is lowered!
