Civic Factory Performance Suspension
Civic Factory Performance Suspension
I was just looking at a few sites and was wondering if anyone has thought of buying the suspension pieces for the factory performance ciivic and putting them on a 2002 Civic EX coupe. From what I have read it lowers the car about 1". I just figured this would be good since it is factory engineered. I don't even know if a dealership would sell the suspenion pieces 6 months after I bought the car. Also, it looks like the wheels are bigger. Just wondering if anyone else has thought of this and maybe someone has done it.

Dealers cannot part out the FP kit... it needs to be installed as a whole prior to titling the car. If you want a small drop, just get Eibach Prokits... those are a 1" drop (prolly the same springs in the kit) and some Koni Yellows. The dealer would also charge you out the *** for them. Your other option is to find someone with the setup and is selling it.

the dealership here in Houston will part them out but itll run you around 2000.00 for it, you want a great suspension setup go with the TeinSS you can drop it the amount your looking for and for half the price plus you get levels of adjustability that the FP suspension doesnt have

Greg is a good guy. I personally don't think the FPK is work it. I mean it only lowers one inch and it is not as engineeered for hard conditions as some of the other kits out there. I know warrenty is an issue, but the only warrenty you will lose is your suspension warrenty like reddragon said. Anything that breaks in your engine/transmission/interior should not be blamed on your suspension set up. They can not validate the warrenty if the part actually caused the problem.

ya its not worth it IMO. if your worried about warranty you should look into dealers that install aftermarket parts. i know diamond bar honda lowers cars with goldlines for $200 installed and warranties all their work. and valencia acura also does aftermarket installs as well. hell if your worried about warranty maybe you shouldnt mod your car at all cause alot of mods void the warranty in some sort of way
