I've got poly bushings installed on my front swaybar and wanted to get some for the rear...i've looked for an rsx swaybar bushing kit but the only thing people seem to be selling is a complete kit with every little bushing possible for the rsx for like 120 bux...
i was browsing through a jcwhitney catalog when i found some universal swaybar bushings...here's the link to what i found: http://www.jcwhitney.com/productnoit...=36715&BQ=jcw2
anyways...as you can see it comes with new brackets too...the one i picked was the larger of the two...i got under the car and the holes for the existing brackets are in between 2 3/4 and 3" (hard to get a precise measurment lying on your back) The swaybar thicknesses are listed in SAE measurments..the closest to 19mm is 3/4...19mm is 0.7486"...pretty damned close...and only 10 bux a pair! so needless to say i went ahead and bought a set...i'll let ya guys know how it fits and all that

The dealer one's are most likely rubber and not as stiff as the polyurethane. The polyurethane increases the response of the sway bar because it's stiffer.

I've been looking for 19mm polyurethane bushings too. Let me know how those work out for ya.

ok got the kit a few days ago and had a chance to install it today...
What you get:
two heavy gauge brackets
two 3/4" poly bushings
a tube of grease
the install is simple...take off the old crap..put the new crap on...but be sure to lube up the new bushings with the supplied grease so you dont get any squeakage...as far as fitment...the bushings fit pretty well...i was surpised how well they fit...whats cool is the brackets...since the holes are slotted a certain amount of adjustability can be obtained...i dropped my bar as low as possible...
here are some pics:
http://www.7thgencivic.com/memberrid...=1&ppuser=6289
i might take them off later and spray the brackets black...i was just in a hurry to get them on!
i took a drive around the block and the difference is instantly noticeable...alot less rollage in the back...it'll take a serious drive to tell what difference its really made tho...cool mod for only 10 bucks!

Did the stock brackets fit with the bushing? I might do this as well man. Good way to get the msot out of the sway bar
What size brackets did you get BTW? Large or Small? Also the 3/4" sway bar is the one you got right ?
Screw it just list all the part #'s lol

no theres no way the stock brackets would fit...if u remember the stock bushings are sort of rounded and nestle into the stock bracket...these new bushings are a bit wider and flat and only fit in the supplied brackets...oh the brackets i got were the large ones...the small ones might fit tho..i'm not sure..it would be close
take a look at this pic comparing the smaller brackets to the larger ones:

i also found some other bushings/brackets that would work...these are made by energy suspension...they look identical except these include grease fittings! wow that almost makes too much sense!
Here's the link:
http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...84&prmenbr=361
no idea what the bracket measurments are though...but they should fit...

man, who the heck measures sway bars in inches!?
hehehe
I think 22mm works out to 7/8", but 7/8 = 0.875, and eXNBP said that 22mm = 0.8668 inches.
hrm...think it'll fit?

they make them for the 22mm rear sway bar? the RSX-S has 19mm...
I couldn't find the 22mm ones on their site anywhere. hrm.
I think I like these brackets better than the neuspeed ones (based on the others on their site)...the adjustability is nice!

ok guys, I scrounged some more and found a canadian site that has the energy suspension bushings...and for a reasonable price, too!
the DriverFX.ca website has all the energy suspension products! They're impossible to find, though.
What I did, was go to the energy suspension site, took a look at the Universal application page, and then found the right sway bar product code. I searched for the product code "95158R" (red in my case), and it popped up! These are the greasable bushings, too!
22mm
sweet! there's an american counterpart for driverFX that I think was founded first. Actually, it's all from 1-800-autoparts anyways, so it might actually be cheaper from their site.
But...for those of you with 22mm sway bars (my 22mm RSX type-R bar is in the mail), this is the one to buy

No. The stock brackets do fit. Aftermarket brackets are not necessary. They are designed to fit over a slightly thicker bushing with no problem what-so-ever.

Sweet! This might help those of you that are having problems with the conversion from millimeters to inches: http://www.energysuspension.com/swaybb.html
I bought the one with the longer adjustment; one 27mm and one 22mm (in red). I liked how ohmysac's looked in red, so I thought why not. I have channels in my rear bushings that hold grease, but not in my front ones. I kinda wanted channels in both of them. Oh yeah, plus greasable bushings rock! Plus they're that k3wl gold plated type color which will match some of my grade 8 hardware on my mounting kit.
Joy! I searched and searched, but it seems Jeg's has the best price. $41 shipped for me for a set of front and rear sway bar bushings. Not a bad deal IMO.

sweet! greasable kicks ****
I never thought of it...I should have gotten front ones as well, but I am getting the progress front sway bar...aren't those polyurethane?
I hope so!
Mine were $26CDN + shipping...but I bought other stuff, so I don't know how much shipping was for each item...but shipping was only $14CDN for all three items
$41 USD for all four is a pretty sweet price!
Make a DIY to install them, Grey!
hehehe

Yeah, see... I have the front and rear Progress sway bars. They come with polyurethane bushings, but... The front ones are flat inside, so the grease kinda just squeezes out and only a minimal amount is left. The rear ones have these grooves inside that hold more grease, so you have less friction. This is Progress's new bushing design. For some reason I didn't get that type of bushing for my front sway bar. Oh well...
Now, these greaseable bushings are even better. They have the grooves inside and are greasable! Just pop on a grease gun and grease them up after they're installed. I will definately take advantage of that.
Plus they're cadmium plated (the gold stuff) and mine will be red. It'll add to the look of my undercarriage.
I will definately make a DIY.
Not hard or anything, but what the hey...

heh 10 bucks is a good deal.
I'd go with ES's just cuz its easier to grease.
I sold my neuspeed ones cuz I didn't want to bother with having to grease the front ones regularly.
I was going to make these but it was too much trouble and I knew the market sucked.. so... good thing I didn't, these are fairly cheap prices, be tough to compete with them.
wee I just joined the bandwagon.. got a pair of rear 19mm
good find. I haven't got anything for my car in a LONG time.
$9 "handling" charge.
right.
$23 is still cheap though.

I guess this thread is pretty much over, but just wish I had found this link earlier, I didn't get to read this, but ended up with the 22mm (7/8") red Poly bushings for my rear CTR sway bar, and they are sweet, the little end cap on the back of the plate for greasing, is that a fitting exactly for a grease gun? I have grease, lithium tubes, and general purpouse vasoline can type, but are alot of the bushing plates like this? would it be useful to have an actual grease gun? Like are other bushings having the same little nozzle fitting? Thanks, Ocelaris
