spring installation: which direction

ok.. i installed my neuspeed springs.. and wanted to verify how the springs were supposed to go in... the rears are a no brainer... but the front.. its hard to tell...

ok the spring has a denser side which the coils are closer together than the rest of the spring, does it really matter which direction the front goes in?
it is the same diameter on both sides... now i put them in with the denser coiling on the top? is this right? or not?

or is it supposed to go the other way?

the tighter/"denser" coils go on the bottom.. not a big deal if you put them the other way around tho.

I'll vouch for that I have the Neuspeed sport springs I just put on , on 3/16. In the front I have the denser portion on the top and in the rear I have them on the bottom.
