Tein Flex w/ pics
This setup is the best you can get so far. Until the JIC FLT-A2 comes out, there is nothing you can compare it to. If you are comparing it to the B&Gs, you might as well compare it to the Tein SS, H&Rs, and any coils that need you to reuse the upper mounts. It is not the stiffest setup, but you can order it with custom spring rates at no extra cost. I wonder if they match the damper rate too. The front left mounting perch locks in place unlike the NEX coils I use to have. Slammed to the ground, the front goes down as far as you want it to and the rear leaves a finger gap. There is an easy way to solve that problem. The heavy understeer is eliminated with the factory spring rates. The only prob i see besides the price is that the tie rods are too long and do not give you the extreme front camber angles withour replace the steering rack. Strut bars are a must for any stiffer spring rates over stock. You cannot beat the quietness of a full coil setup. Here are the pics:

And this is the extent of the hood trimming you have to do:

Hope you like the pics. I finally had sometime to take pics, post it, and most importantly work on my car.

Very nice! Love the camber adjustment. Didn't know that any other strut bars besides the Neuspeed and DC Sports fit with the AEM CAI. Good to know. How much did you pay for them?

Look out, that's my next mod. ... not a cheap one but we'll see.
And i didn't know your car was blue with black rims. Kew. When my rims get on my car it'll look funny when we do our comparison unless you're gonna do some exterior mods. Glad you like your setup. It looks nice.

Hey Zell...
You sure that they are not coming out for our cars? I sent them an email last month, and they said they are due to be out in Feb '03? They told me if I didn't want to wait, I could purchase the set for the RSX and that it would fit with a little modifcation....?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think my Fiber Images CF hood has space for those little things that stick out. Yeah, I would cut those shorter before cutting the hood up too. Is that possible?
guess what i just asked tein again about the flex-------- now they say they have the flex for the 2001 civic part #DSA12-61SS1 However I do not see it on there product list???? I don't know about them, every time i ask them something they give me a different anwser. Anyway if anyone gets that new flex for our car it would be awesome to see how much more drop it adds and how the ride is. The only problem is it sells for 1800 ouchy

I might just get it anyways, that is off course after my new body kit.

Oh yeah, I'm pretty much 100% sure now that the Tein Flex for the 2002 Si will fit perfectly up front with the Fiber Images carbon fiber hood. I checked how much clearance I have and there's no internal support there all the way up to the surface of the hood. The hood is a little thicker than the stock sheet metal, but only 1/16" or so, so as long as there's a little room betwean the Tein's up front and the hood then it'll work perfectly. any word yet if the TEIN SS can be replaced...the spring that is with another one made by TEIN for an even lower drop.....the ride is great...its just that 1 more inch would make the look complete......

I just got my car aligned this week and now the off ramps at 50 mph are responsive, smooth, and quiet. I'm playing with tire pressure right now and after that the dampening.

I just got my monkey bar in the mail today. $79 shipped, you have to love it. I'll post pics and tell you if I notice a difference. My Cd player skips all the time now that I put more air in the tire.
