Progress Group Sway Bars
I'm gettin' both front and rear sway bars. The best price I've seen for them so far is from Performance Tuning. They have the front, the rear, and the mounting kit. The have fixed shipping rates, so the prices are very good. To add to that, they have a 5% discount for members of 7thgencivic.com Just Click This, or enter the coupon code "pt2k1civic" when you check out. It gives you 5% off the total before the shipping cost. It saved me another $20 odd bucks since I bought all three.
I can't wait to install these sway bars! I will have a full review up and a DIY on how to install them; including the exhaust clearance pictures that everyone seems to want. Plus I'll try to see if I can figure out how to make it so that there is no problem with exhaust clearance. Maybe it's possible?
Anyway, just passing the word along. If there's a place that you can get these for cheaper then let me know. I doubt it though.

Nope. The 2002 LX's already come with rear sway bars. Not sure about HX's? Anyone know what the deal is there?
hey Grey
Im thinking about ordering that sway bar from Performance Tuning and I was just wondering if they said anything to you about a backorder or that it might take alittle while for the sway bar to get to you? Im just asking because I don't want to order the sway bar and then have to wait a month to get it.

I'm going to be crying about it later.
I just need to get this done before I can work on my exhaust system.
Hint hint... Turbo!

I just hope it's gray in color (that's the new color they come in). I'de leave it like that if it is.
If it comes to me in that turquoise color, then I'll be re-painting mine red before I put them on the car.
Then again... Maybe satin silver metallic would be better? Eh, we'll see...
Hey grey
Thanks you, I think im going order tomorrow because I think it to late to try tonight

Turqiouse doesn't look too bad IMO on cars with Spoon decals JP But anyways to tell us how it turns out I'm beginning to wonder if I should've saved up my money and gotten both the progress bars instead

It's k3wl 'cause if you get the rear you're also helping out the front. The front doesn't have to take up the slack of the rear lean, so it actually has less roll when cornering. Now if I get the front I not only help out the front, but I help out the back as well (since the car is connected and what not). I will definately let everyone know what's up when I get my setup. Hopefully they're grey so that I can just pop them right in. Hopefully the roads are clear as well so that I can try them right out.
Let us know how it goes Grey. Im very interested in seeing how it will perform with both the front and rear progress sway bars...hope you dont get the blue one

Yeah, I thought about that. I can add in a flex agent to the paint. That will soften it up enough so that it flexes a little when the sway bar bends.
I e-mailed Performance Tuning yesterday and they told me that they don't have the Progress Group sway bar in stock anymore but they would be getting a shipment in 7-10 days which isn't bad so Im still going order it.
I heard from the guys that have the RSX type R rear sway bar that are also 22mm That it help lot on corners
but also it makes the car drift easyer, so be expiating that from this sway bar
Hey,
How do you change the color of the sway bar when your ordering it?

I think the dude that upgraded to the Type R rear sway bar didn't upgrade his front one as well. I will be doing both, so I should get the kind of handling that Progress engineered into their sway bars. Progress tested their sway bars and their springs and they got .97g!!! Sweet huh? I'm not lowered, so I can't expect that much. It will definately throw me to the sides during cornering though.
As for the color, I didn't get a chance to choose mine. If they're ordering more now then those will be the grey ones for sure. I might have gotten the last of the blue ones. Who knows? We'll see...

Oh yeah, weird. Must be because they ordered some more. It used to be $181.95. Discount is 5%. Shipping is $9.95. So that's $182.80 shipped. Hopefully it'll be this cheap once they declare the new price.

am I the only one who thinks that 27mm for the front might be just a BIT overkill?
dang, 182 shipped for rear is great...but it says on the site "MSRP: 249 -- Our price: TBA".
what's up with that?

Aw damn it! I got the front and the mounting kit already, but the rear still hasn't gotten here. This is what I received from ptuning.com:
Just letting you guys know what's up. Hopefully I get the grey color just like the front sway bar that I received. That's all I really care about now. I can wait a little while. No problem. Actually, I can't wait till I get it!

W00t! I got the rear sway bar. Took a while, but it's finally here. Grey color too!
I might install it today, or at least start the installation.

Hell yeah we should. I wasn't pushing it last time. Last time I was going only 50mph in that one corner. Without any suspension mods (besides wheels) I pulled 55mph there. That's the maximum (without sliding). This time with the front and rear sway bars I should be able to do 60mph. Although I don't know what the real limit will be. I guess we'll see though...
Just a word of advice if you try to remove the sticker on the "tie bar". It's really really hard to get the sticker off without taking the finish off the bar. I used a sharp razor and goo gone, and it was still hard. I ended up having to sand it down a bit because it became oxidized and I had to spray it with clear protectant.
