Lowering the car...
If I get the Koni yellows and some Goldline springs I can just pull out the stock shock + spring right?
I want to lower my car but sdont' want to damamge any of the stock stuff so I can pop them back in when I sell them
And I figure 550 + 140 is a lot better than 1200 for TEIN SS... any reason why i should go with TEINS instead?

you will be very happy with goldline and koni. But if you can afford it Tein SS or B+G are the best ever in this history of coils. lol.

wont you also need to get a camber kit if you drop it with gold lines? Either way you do your going to be spending more then you think if you will need the camber kit, but not much more.

Yeah I'm pretty sure I'll need the rear camber... I was just leaving that off cuz i have to get it with the TEINSS too I think...
I should prolly also get some strut bars just to be on the safe side
Is the installation of the koni's basically a bolt on? I figure I'll jack the car, take off the stock strut and springs, and then bolt the koni's and goldlines in place... anything else i should watch out for?

You'll need a camber kit with the Goldlines. I have them and im still running the stock struts and shocks with no problem. I've had them since the first week in july and it still rides like it did when i had them put on, not bouncy or anything.
Koni's is not a bolt on. You have to cut the tops off the OEM struts, and drill the bottoms out, insert the Konis and bolt them into the struts.
You also need a spring compressor that will grab the springs on our cars and keep them compressed. Those springs can be deadly if allowed to suddenly let loose. You need to check the DIY section on this for sure.

Ahhh... I thought I'd just bolt them on... Gutting the stock would completely miss the point of keeping them intact :-)
I guess I'll wait a bit and get some moeny for the TEIN
PS: SOrry, I posted this in the wrong forum... but the good old mods already moved it :-)

The Konis for the front ar just inserts. I don't think any major company has made complete struts for 7th gen Civics yet. It's on account of the strut having a mount for part of the sterring mechanism.
I bought struts from a salvage yard and modified them. So I still have a set of originals. Paid $125 for the used struts, complete.
