Springs and Ride Height
Ok ... now that I think I got my Struts chosen (Koni Yellows) I need a matching spring to go with them. I initially wanted to go with the Neuspeed Sports but am getting mixed messages about what the actual drop measurement is. I heard that it was a 1.7" drop for the sportlines ... but ok I e-mail neuspeed and this Danny guy sends me this message:
Hello Mike,
The approximate lowering is about 1.25" from factory ride height. For
further product information, ordering procedures, or a dealer near you,
please feel free to give our sales staff a call at (800)423-3623 or
(805)388-7171 or you may fax them at (805)388-0030. Thank you for your
inquiry!
Best regards,
Danny

Does this guy know what he is talking about ??? He already gave me wrong information before about whether they off the Sport springs for my model he said no they only have the race but that isnt true.

Just wondering if I should go with the Eibach Sport (1.4" drop) or the Neuspeed Sports (1.7" drop). I know people are gonna say its personal perference but ... I will only have stock rims on for most of the summer and plan to go to a 17X7 with maybe a 205/45R/17. Some people are telling me that 1.7" drop will make me scrap my bottom out on speed bumps and driveways and curbs etc. I dont want to have to deal with that. Also, I dont want problems with rubbing if I get the 17's.
But I do want a nice dropped look and wondering if a 1.4" drop from the Eibach sports will be noticeable. What do you guys think.

he probably doesnt know that the SI in canada is the same as the EX in the states.. you have the 2 door coupe and not the hatchback right?
and i know eibach claims a 1.4" drop but most people have said it to be a 1.6/1.7" drop.
for me it wasnt low enough. people could hardly even tell my car is lowered. i dont have problems with scraping or rubbing cause it just isnt low enough. maybe you could find someone that lives near you and see their drop... i wish i would have cause maybe then i would have gotten the race springs.
eibach sportlines, neuspeed sports and goldlines all have a 1.7" drop. even if you look in the pictures the drop looks very similar. 1.4" is more like the H&Rs which is 1.3" and the Prokit which is 1.2"
