ask your friend what he did to get rid of the clanging noise when turning the steering wheel at slow speeds. I love my B+Gs, but the noise can get annoying...

Ditto that on the clanging/sproinging noise for the B&Gs. Ride is nice, but a little noisy.

All three of us have the B&G setup and all three of us experience the same noise. About every once in awhile i get a pop noise from the springs when reversing out of my driveway, but thats it. No noise while driving. The ride is alot firmer and better over speed bumps then before, because I have the 2001 civic where the rear shocks bounced too much over speed bumps. The ride is great, but I have nothing to compare it too except for my stock ride.

The Tein benefits are that people like the name better and they have adjustable dampning. But, B&G are retailed at 1800 while Tein is only 1250 I think, the SS type anyways. I really don't think that having adjustable dampning is that great of idea for street driving anymore because when you drop your ride, you really don't want to make it soft anyways, because then you'll bottom out or rub like no other. So I'm very happy with the automatic adjustable dampning on my B&G setup. I don't know, but it's hard enough to just get all 4 corners perfectly even on drop, I wouldn't want to think the more adjusting I would have to do with dampning in question also.

Another aspect that might answer your question is how low do you plan to go? Tein with 17s and 205-40 tires will drop with no gap at it's lowest setting. B&G will tuck the tires alot if you slammed it all the way down. Some people like that hella slammed look. Some actually like to drive like that too, but I think most for show. Therefore B&G can go lower then the Tein.

Hope that helped you out with any questions. Oh, and they cost about the same price. Check out the groupbuys for Tein and PM 2cute who has a hookup from MMR USA for the B&G setup.

I have Tien and I love them! I don't know what the B&G owners are experiencing with the noise but I certaintly don't have them, lucky for me? Other than that, the ride is great and firm. And to be honest car handles pretty well and smooth on corners with 205/40/17 tires. I've dong doing 60mph on a 25mph down hill turn and there was a hug understeer and so I've done 55mph on that same turn and surprisingly did pretty well. But I suggest you don't do that. Also I believe DuYaKnow answer the question about the differences of B&G and Tien. But I believe Tien are well worth it!
