uh... the brand should matter.. i dont think your girl would like to bounce around over every rock.... ask her/yourself a couple questions first... how careful do you want to drive? are you willing to spend an extra $550 on new shocks? do you want a slammed look? etc, etc... a cheap brand is going to give you problems, it might start to sag, the rides going to be really badd.... a low drop is going to give you a hard time driving over the smallest bumps, its going to make a big hole in your pocket due to having blown struts and negative camber
I recommend Goldline sports from the www.thecivicstore.com. They cost $159 shipped to your door if I remember right. The drop is 1.25" or 1.5". They ride great with factory struts. Just don't go flying over speed bumps or potholes. For some reason Honda decided to save money and went with cheap factory struts. So take a little extra precaution. You also will NOT need a camber kit with these. At least that is the manufacturer's recommendation.

if read alot of my posts you'll know i recommend neuspeed sports... try http://www.cartunerz.com i havnt ordered from their site but that site is run by this shop callled nohn motorsports and their service was pretty good. got the springs the next day i ordered for 140. if they charge more then 145, tell them you could get it for 145 at www.aieonline.com and i'm sure they'll match it cause it says 'price match guarentee' on their site(before redline had them for 140, thats how i got it for that price)... oh and reason why i didn't recommend aieonline is cause i've heard they're out of stock right now...
I like my Progress drop............OptAuto has them for $127...LINKY......Great ride at a Great price.....
