Hopefully I can actually get the bolts off. I tried to lower my Corolla before I sold it, but I was unsuccesful in getting the strut housing bolts off. Got an aircompressor now and an air gun, so I shouldn't have any problems this time.
I can't wait I'm so excited. I'll be even more excited if I do it correctly.
BTW anyone know if you need to cut the front and/or rear bumpstops for the Ground-Controls and Koni's. I haven't seen the Koni or GC instructions, but the Honda Tuning instructions for Eibach Springs make no mention of cutting them????????

go
HERE and on the left menu select "Honda Parts Store" . Then put in your car information and at the last drop down box select "Front Shock Absorber" . They give you a complete diagram of the strut asembly with part numbers and prices. The strut housings with the factory struts are $104 each side. I'm not sure how much shipping is cause that is calculated when they ship it. The place is in RI and they ship products within 3 days unless they need to get them from the Honda warehouse in Ohio, but then it should arrive within a week. I figured that it was better to do this than drill/cut the only strut housings I have and mess up leaving me without a car for a while. I think it is worth it in case I mess up or incase Honda bitches about warranty stuff.
I'm just wondering if the front and/or rear bump stops need to be cut for the Ground-Controls, so that I can call them tomorrow morning to add them to the order to avoid paying for shipping for them.

Rep Power: 0 I was going to let the shop by my work do the cutting/drilling, but I couldn't get a final price, cause they would have to get into it before I got a price. They were going to charge me by the hour.

Rep Power: 0 If you get a new set of Konis, they shipped the front with only 1 washer/nut. You need 2 of them to complete the install. Make sure to either phone/e-mail Koni if you are missing the parts. I was and I found out today when my car is in the shop. Now, I have to wait a week till they come in. Good thing they didn't start my fronts.

Rep Power: 0 Exactly right, you guys are just going to have to wait till they come in. I did and the thing that sucks is that my car was in the shop when they found out!

Rep Power: 0 I only installed the rears, so I used these:
12mm open end wrench - 1 nut on top of strut body
14mm socket - 2 nuts on top of strut in trunk
17mm socket - 1 bolt on bottom of strut
19mm socket - 4 tire lug nuts
Metric Hex keys
Torque Wrench
Spring compressor
Rubber mallet
Rat-tail file
Grease
I can't remember what else now. I am happy with the rears though, it doesn't bounce as much and it rides very smooth. Can't wait to do the fronts.

Rep Power: 0 I just got mi rear koni yellows put on, but they didn't put in the adapters I bought from ground control for the coilovers. Is it possible not to have to use the adapters? Where do the adapters go?

Rep Power: 0 I already have the rear koni's installed without the adapters. I haven't had any problems so far. Do I really need to put them on? I got pics of my car in the members rides talk. Thread is called: keeping it clean.
