think of them as hi tech hydrolics. you use air instead of batteries tho. you can make your car hop but air bags really aren't meant to do that... read whosyourdaddy's FAQ about air suspension to know more
so is that all you need to do air suspension??? if so how much is the install around money wise...ive heard its like anywhere from 1k to 2k for the install, and when u let all the air out of the bags do the wheels camber, ive seen an acura with bags and when he sat it down the wheels did a neg. camber

i've posted this before but i'll post it again, maybe even include it in whosyourdaddys FAQ. there are a couple ways too hook it up.
4 - air strut/rod/bag $600-1000
air tank $20-60 depending on size
compresser $200-500
pressure switch so pressure inside tank doesn't get too high $25
guages $30-100
lines/fittings $100 depends on size
also you probably want it to work with a switch/button so...
switch $30-100
valves 100 a pop = $400
i think i missed a couple... you could get a slow/cheap setup for like 1500 installed or a fairly fast one for 2200 installed.

i've heard it takes 3 gallons to fill 2(or was it 4) bags from lowest point to the highest point. after theres no more air in the tank you have to wait for the compressor to fill it back up again. some take up to 2 mins-5 mins. some people even get 2 compressors. heard you could even use the a/c compressor. oh then there's also the the air compressors that run of one of the belts... i believe what you want to look at is the 'cfm' not sure what it stands for but from what i remember, higher the number, the faster it produces air.
lines+fittings... there's your standard lines and theres also steel braided one(that costs a arm and a leg). theres also the size, 1/4,3/8,1/2. the size also depends on how fast you want your bags.... 1/2 would probably make your car 'hop'(get some air time) if you wanted to... 1/4 might be too slow.
so ya i would recommend 3/8 for the average user... steel braided lines aren't necesary
5 gallon tank or 2-3 gallon
4.0 cfm, 3/4 hp, 2:30mins to fill 3 gallon tank

actually i think you can have air suspension for a g.... i've heard you could just use the bags/rods itself... no tanks, compressors, lines, fittings, etc... it would be hard to adjust but i'm sure its possible. i mean its just air inside the bags/rods. just have air in them and you have air suspension... you just cant adjust it with the switch of a button or anything...

it depends on the kit, if its made specifically for our cars, chances are its all bolt on.. if your getting one put together then some modifications might be needed. but ya just make sure you know how to wire/connect everything before you actually do it yourself
well i got all my parts up to alil over 2k and after all that it hit me......where the f*** am i goin to put itall ......i just don't think i can sacrifice my subs for my suspension to put it in the trunk, so as bad *** as it would look i think im goin to go back to some sportlines

how much room does your subs take up? cause i know i have enough room for two tanks on each side of the box with the compressor chillin somewhere else.... it doesn't take up that much room. n i'm sure it would even fit where the spare goes..

Compressors come in many different sizes but there is still plenty of room for subs. When I was at the Import Revolution there was a 94 accord that had 4 12 inch subs and had a compressor in there. He also had all his amps and stuff on the sides. You should have plenty of room to put in a compressor and subs. But you can always get a big compressor and tank.
