Eibach Springs

Im new, so I'm going to ask a noob question I apologize I just need to know

I found a really good deal on 4 eibach springs that will lower it 1.2-1.7

What else will I need besides that?

If I lower it myself

If I get a mechanic to do it will I need to buy anything else?

Re: Eibach Springs

I haven't lowered my car, but the common consensus around here that anyone will tell you is that you'll need aftermarket shocks! The OEM (stock) shocks cannot handle the load of the lowered car and will likely blowout after a few months or a year. You'll have to get shocks like Tokico HP Blues or Koni Yellows to drop your car safely.
The sad truth is, shocks are expensive, much more than the springs will run you. But if you don't upgrade your shocks along with springs, you'll be driving on borrowed time and your car may eventually plow into a tree

Re: Eibach Springs

I have heard people go 2+ years on stock struts (i dont believe it a bit) and some last about a week.

Suspension is not something to cheap out on. If your going to do it.... do it RIGHT.

Re: Eibach Springs

That being said, the springs in question are certainly not a problem.
Eibachs are some of the best in the business and are designed not to sag over time. Are they Prokits? Sportlines? Both are very good.

Re: Eibach Springs

There's actually a pro kit and a sports line kit for 225 plus tax....4 springs in each one.
