reference sought for suspension drop
03 GG LX sedan 5M
purchased HFP 16" SS-7 rims (dealer-new in box); want to lower suspension to replicate what HFP susp (not available for sedans) would produce. Not going for rice-boy looks, just want to produce better handling/cornering. I guess I'm spoiled by the wish-bone susp characteristics of my prior three Civics (2 '88 LX sedans and a '96 EX coupe)
Considering Tanabe NF210's - mild drop w/5% increase in spring rate (claimed). comments please.... Dealer says I have leaking left front strut...was planning to replace both sides..would factory struts work with new springs?
Also, need recommendation on relaible shop in Cleveland, OH market that can do the work. What would be a reasonable price?
Finally, any tire brand recommendations.. size 205-50 x 16.... more interested in low noise/high miles than pure cornering.
Thanks in advance.

Re: reference sought for suspension drop
look at eibach prokit springs (1 inch drop same as hfp suspension). and you need better shocks like the tokico hp. oem will not support lower ride height.
Re: reference sought for suspension drop
x2 on the tokicos.. they have a little stiffer damping rate than stock and handle a mild drop very well. Why pay a shop to do it though? If you are handy at all with tools and have a socket set you could do it yourself. Drop by an autozone or advanced and borrow a spring compressor to be safe and set aside a saturday to do it.
Re: reference sought for suspension drop
well the local shops around here charge 25 per corner so 100 for the whole thing. dont pay more than 150 at a local shop. not pepboys or midas or none of that bs. a local, privately owned shop.

Re: reference sought for suspension drop
just fyi, tokico and prokit on my sedan has 2 finger gap all around between tire and fender. one side is 1.75 in the back a bit less but i think its due to the fender being weird on that side.
