Re: Susp. Question With 215/40/18???

The gap will shrink by about an inch compared to the 17's.

Stock tire radius: 12.2 inches
205/40/17 radius: 11.7 inches
215/40/18 radius: 12.4 inches

If you still have your stock wheels and tires around, you can estimate the look of the 18's with them. Just figure the 18's will be wider than stock of course.

Re: Susp. Question With 215/40/18???

I am not running the same setup, but I do have 215/40/18 with tokico and neuspeed sports...my rears are tucked, can't get a finger in at all! The front is about 1 finger!

Re: Susp. Question With 215/40/18???

what tires you planning to get? Some tires have more of a square side wall then others, eating up more of the wheel gap then tires with a round side wall.

Re: Susp. Question With 215/40/18???

Ok so it should be about a perfect gap withe the s tech's and 215/40/18 as far as gap right?? And as far as tires im not set on one yet but i do like the more roundish look for them but either is fine...what do u guys recomend?? and as far as wheels im geting them from wheelmax.com...What is the best offset to get as far as the wheels not rubbing??

Re: Susp. Question With 215/40/18???

Ok so now im debating on this so u guys tell me what u thiink??? Ok i already have 17's with 205/40/17 and would have to sell these to get some 18's...but personally i would rather be lower with the 17's than highr than the 18's... so my question is should i keep my 17's and get something that will lower it more or should i get the 18's and just get some more s techs???

Re: Susp. Question With 215/40/18???

If it was me, I'd keep the 17s, 18s will adversely affect your performance. I know you're going for looks, though, and I still think 17s look better on our cars. Personally, I think 18s are too big. I'd go lower on 17s.

Keep in mind im gonna get a camber kit and correct all the camber...so will i have and issue with neuspeeds rubbing?? thanx everyone for the help
