passenger side higher than driver side?

I have an 03 civic with stock springs and tokico blues. I have about 30k miles on the shocks. I noticed that my right front is higher than the left front. The left side measures 26.00 inches from the ground to the top of fender opening, and 26.75 inches at the right. Is this normal?

ummm you sit in the drivers side, a good portion of the gas tank is driver side based, and the steering assemby is on the right. in addition to your ac condenser, washer fluid resovoir and more

i didn't think about those extra little things, good call.

i know everyone says the gas tank is on the drivers side, but last time i was under my car it looked like the gas tank was pretty much in the middle of the car.

Re: passenger side higher than driver side?

I dont think a blown shock will cause your car to sag over on the side, but I could be wrong.

I'm in the same position as you my friend, only my springs aren't stock. My car "tilts" noticeably more to the driver side. Hrm.

Wasnt there another member that had this problem and fixed it by rotating the springs 180 degrees? Or something?

Re: passenger side higher than driver side?

my drivers side is a bit lower than the passenger side and always has been. i'm gonna get GC sleeves eventually so i dont care much. my car sees the light of day about twice a month anyway, haha.

Re: passenger side higher than driver side?

it's totally normal. i would go as far to say that it is like that on the stock suspension, but it just isn't noticeable because of the large wheel gap. i know for a face that the gas tank plays a role because my drivers side rear sits 1/3" lower when it's full as opposed to half full or empty

Re: passenger side higher than driver side?

if the rears blow, the back will sag. if the fronts blow, it will raise up lol. but yeah it wont be perfectly even unless you really fine tune the adjustable coilovers.
