Re: Jdm Coil Overs
you can buy those if you want to be driving your car down the road one day and have the body slide off the chassis, resulting in a fiery ball and ultimately your death.
the answer is NO. they're not JDM either.

Re: Jdm Coil Overs
the title bugs me.. how do coilovers help for drifting? they would fit 01-05 AND they cost 50 bucks when quality coilovers go for around 500+ .. I wouldnt touch them.
01-04 HONDA CIVIC DRIFTING COIL OVER COILOVER SPRINGS
Re: Jdm Coil Overs

What is "different" in these or somting made by a good company? Arent they made with teh same material?

how do coilover sleeves help a drifting civic??
i suppose if you want some that bad, get some Konis and Ground Controls. at least then, we know you won't die in a horribly fiery crash when your wheels fall off...

Re: Jdm Coil Overs
^hahaha right..
the bottom line is you don't want to cheap out on something that's as crucial as a suspension.. you're better off getting a combo of spring and shock if you want a less expensive setup.

Re: Jdm Coil Overs
1) If they are made in China, then they aren't JDM.
2) They are $50!!! You seriously think good quality coilovers cost that little?
3) Why does everyone think that springs are the most important part of the suspension? Dampers (shocks) are the most important piece.
4) Civics DO NOT drift and any ebay auction telling you that they do, you should AVOID! There is only one civic I know of that drifts and he has a corvette engine in it.
Read the suspension FAQ, do it right, or don't do it at all.

^^definately not the best power to weight ratio. I've seen it in person and it's pretty badass. The guy is pretty cool as well. Have to give him props for the rediculous amount of work
Re: Jdm Coil Overs
not trying to be condescending in any way, but judging by your interest in the 50 dollar ebay sleeves, i think you'd be much better off by 1. reading the suspension forum, 2. getting a good damper and progressive spring.

Re: Jdm Coil Overs
alright a lot of my buddies and myself (lol) have experience with the ebay coils. they are safe to drive on, i actually have them on my car right now with koni yellows however. saving for the funds for the GCs. but in any way i do not recomend getting the ebay coils for the 7th gen. the coils are so stiff that it already started slightly bending the sheet metal in the trunk where the struts are hooked up to. you will feel every single bump in the road. and here in vegas where the roads suck ***** it is terrible. i guess it will be OKAY to run the ebay coils for a short time if you really want them that bad. i dont suggest it. some of the homies are running ebay coils on their eg ek ej em chassis and the ride is bearable. or i dont know because im so used to my shitty ride. lol. but in any case; if you can wait to save up the money for at least lowering springs and struts DO IT. i have learned the hard way. i used to be ebay racer and bought everything cheap and then ended up having to replace the parts i bought ebay brand with quality parts. its a waste of time and money so if your gonna do it do it right the first time.
k sorry for super long post im bored cant sleep. lol

Re: Jdm Coil Overs
yehh my friend was trying to convince me to buy the ebay coilovers. because i asked him if he could install my springs when i get them. He said get coilovers, they are better, i said yeh but im doing it for looks not perfomance and they're too expensive. hes like get them on ebay. He said hes got them for over 2 years (on a 93 civic tho) and not a problem with them. but i think ill just got with the tein-s tech on stock shocks..be more safe and comfortable lol...i hate stiff rides.

Re: Jdm Coil Overs
^tein s techs are bouncy? but well idk why they have a bigger drop in the rear...i might either go with eibach springs or ground controls. I heard ground controls are good with stock shocks.
Re: Jdm Coil Overs
Read the Suspension FAQ. The shocks are what will matter most, not springs. Don't put aftermarket springs on stock shocks, esp. if you are worried about ride quality. Buy the good stuff, don't cheap out w/ crap. Its really not all that complicated.
Re: Jdm Coil Overs
honestly i got a friend with a 96 ex coupe with these on them, when i get to drive it i'll review them for ya....but just from observing him on the highway= mad bounceeeeee like hydrolics like crazy super jumpy type of bounce ****sarcasm*****again*****
