Alright Guys, Im giving my Car a whole new makeover this Next month, And I need your Advice. First of all, Let me Say, Currently my Car is dropped on - Eibach Sportlines, with stock struts. (its been horrible with the stocks
) - and of course the Camber kit.
The car is much lower from the back, And I got a hold of a New set of Eibach Prokit Springs. With New Struts, and the New Prokits, will the car be much higher?
I also Plan on Adding 17 inch rims to the car, and I already have the rs front lip, aero side skirts, and kaminari rear lip that I will be adding. -
I also Thought about keeping Sportlines in the front, and just replacing the rear springs to the prokits, (since its so low on the back) would that be a bad Idea? - And would you guys recommend KYB struts? Or which ones would go great? - Do you think ill have a hard time with the side skirts? -
OR would you recommend I go prokits all Around. And How long would it take for them to settle in? I also have a Sub with 2X12 , amp, and Spare tire in the trunk.
Thanks for those of you sticking with me on this one, I will be updating you on my car, I appreciate all the feedback. check out the Pics!

ur problem is most likely weak rear struts, this happens a lot, or at least often, its common, just get new struts, im sitting on kyb agx and i like them, the tokico blues are nice too, just replace the struts and itll bring the *** end up
So The Struts Do help With lifting the car? Would it be close to a inch higher? thnxx
mine was, i was tucking untill i put new struts in, now i have 2 fingers front and back
inst struts the same thing as shocks?
Its your subs causing you to drop lower. If you want to test my theory. Take out your subs, and wait about an hour, go back outside. You'll see your cars rear has gone up.
My car sits lower than yours, but its a similar setup cause I have a sub too. Getting aftermarket struts or shocks won't necessarily raise your car, it might, and it might not. It'll probably improve the handling and ride quality though.

I have the same problem on my 04 coupe...I have a heavyyy enclosure with two 12 inch kicker comps and 2 amps and my rear is a lot lower then the front(stock)....Im planin on lowering my vic on neuspeed sports and getting tokico blues...the neuspeed says it drops the rear 1.5 and the front 1.75 so hopefully itll even out a little. but I also got another problem i have an evo2 exaust...i think the canister will be toooooo low with that type of drop any sugesstions.....ps...im puttin on 18" rims with 215/40/18 tires...

Ok, I hear you guys,
I plan on leaving my subs in the trunk. Would it be a bad idea to replace the rear springs with some prokits and leave the front springs sportlines?

On my ex gf's car, I did sportlines in the front and then coupe pro kit springs in the rear on her sedan and it sat perfect. All on stock struts. I know yours is a coupe, but you may want to give the pro kits in the rear a try. Obviously the spring rates are different, but its not like your racing your car. Or just go get some coilovers.
Do you guys think ill have a hard time with the sideskirts and lip, if I leave the sports in the front?
if anything, just get some springs for the sedan if you are that worried about your back lower than the front.
prokit only drops an inch, but it will drop alot more without good shocks. stock cannot handle any kind of drop at all without looking weird. the tokico blue shocks are nice, but i think they are only good for 1.5 inch drop. i have them with prokit on my sedan and its around 2 finger gap all around. nice and even. on stock shocks, rear was slammed and front had 1 finger gap.
yeah I have the same setup as Gear, and it's nice and non-troublesome.. you have enough ground clearance for heavy snow, and you won't scrape (much) .. it's also a safe drop if you wanna add a lip kit as well
any pics with the prokit drop? and do you a have a system in the trunk?
here's the drop w/o a system in the trunk..

actually looks pretty good think ima go with that since im planing on gettin a kaminari lip kit and 18's
Whats Up Guys,, IM still in Tokyo Japan,, Partying with the ladies here. I will be back in the good ol states by friday, and I will begin the suspension change over the weekend. . They have some good loooking civic Taxis Down here!, check out the PiCs. .

Shock+spring combo = no options. Ur just gonna keep going through shocks, swapping springs till u find ur car "sitting nice"??? Go wit coilovers, u will have all the options u need... matched spring to shock, adjustable damper/rebound, ride height adjustment, camber adjustment (with pillowball mounts). They're def more expensive, but u can always tweak and adjust as u like, instead of wondering and hoping for the best.
... whilst every time needing an allignment

U do that after u make all ur adjustments. Besides, I don't mind having the ability to go from track responsiveness/handling to daily street driver in no time, I have learned to appreciate options and adjustability after doing the spring/shock combo thing.
And the megans just look sweet, ill post up pics after I mount my rims again

Alright Fellas, The Suspension has been installed.
I Installed KYB Shocks, Eibach Prokit Springs in the Rear, and Eibach Sportline Springs in the Front. - The Car Sits PERFECTLY!!! a tight 2 finger gap all around!!! - Its Sweet. I got it to how I wanted , without have to spend a gahgillion dollars on coilovers. - This next week The new rims arrive. Ill have Pictures up soon, thanks for your opinions, it helped me come to a conclusion.

As I posted previously, I already had the sport lines for about 2 years, and I was not happy with the rear drop. I recently bought the prokits and only installed the rear springs. . . . im not sure if eibach sells them separately. Originally Posted by civicarina

Now I have a box with brand new front pro-kit springs, and a set of old rear sportline springs. - - - -
