hey i recently purchsed my suspension on ebay. the guy claims he had it on his 01 civic coupe. i aksed him if it would fit my 02 civic coupe and he said yes. but the part # does not match wit the 01-05 civic part num. for the 01- 05 its suppose to be 55 20 68 and these r 55 20 74. wat do u guys thinks do they fit?? i dunno wat to do. cuz the parts for the 01 are the same for th 02. here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA:IT&ih=019

Are those tokico blues? I do not see the arms that bolt up to the tie rod or am I just blind? If there are no arms for the front you will be purchasing the wrong shocks. Remember we have macpherson design struts in the front not wishbone like previous model civics.

true.. but the OP said that the parts were on a 01.. which has the same setup as the 02.. the fronts changed in 03.. but the 01-02 are the same.

i think the seller was full of ****. looking at those shocks, there is no way they came off an 01. the 01 to 05 are the same, except the 01-02 have 14mm holes for the crash bolts, and the 03-05 have 16 mm. here's the best pic of i have of my blues for my 04 uninstalled. this is what your shocks should look like.



FYI, the arm you're talking about connects to the tie rod.

googling that part number you provided for the springs you got comes up as Neuspeed Race Springs for a "96-99 civic". I think you were lied to. Time to contact the seller, and then PayPal, if he decides to be a dick.

Let's just hope the guy is not referring to the 2001 acura gsr which shocks I believe can be used on a 6th gen civic. And 01-05 civics have the same shocks with the exception of some knuckle bolt sizes, bearings, and shock housing size but I know you already know that. IMO don't buy them, plenty of members on here have decent setups in the for sale section that YOU KNOW will work.

i would message him, and tell him exactly why you're not going to pay him. be cool, tell him you're sorry for not noticing earlier, but don't let him make this your fault. you should be able to go by the description, not the pics. if he doesn't like that, he'll start a dispute with ebay, and ebay will contact you. once they get your side of the story, i doubt you'll end up with any negative consequences. if he leaves you neg feedback, reply to it, and neg him back, being sure to explain that they guy can't seem to accurately describe his own items. let us know how this turns out.

ummm, good question. i thought they were different, but those look exactly like mine. i don't know that i'd buy oem shocks that have been riding on neuspeeds, tho. if those shocks aren't blown, they're probably damn close.
