Eibach spring went bad, getting a new set sent tommorrow

One of my Eibach progressive springs fell out. I went to Eibach's site and went to the warranty link. It said to call the dealer you purchased it from to get an authorization. I just called summit racing and I am getting a new set sent to me tommorrow. So their warranty is pretty painless, but they do not warranty labor costs.

How does your spring just fall out? What caused it to fall out?

um, i doubt the spring was at fault. they dont just fall out for no reason unless it psysically broke in half.

i think that can only happen if the springs were installed incorrectly and something wasn't tightened to spec.

Even if it weren't tightened enough, the weight of the car should be enough to keep most of it together. Unless the spring fractured, I would say installer error is the problem.

All the springs were pulled out and measured, one of them was shorter than the rest.

By how much? There is a tolerance on them, its 5% or so, but one of them being shorter than "the rest" means that the left one is shorter than the right one or visa versa.

I don't know either guy's. the only thing I can think of is the f8ck that towed my car jacked it up. I noticed the car was sitting different and then I tried to jack it up. I couldn't even get the jack underneath the drivers side. I contacted the bodyshop and asked what the hell is wrong with my car. They looked over everything again and pulled out the springs and dtermined that is what caused it to sit like that. This whole ordeal just pisses me off anyway I look at it.

yikes yea towing can def mess up a car even the manual says there is a certain way to tow it and even then it says using flatbed is the best way and only do the other way in emergency.

I will never have a car towed other than a flatbed again.
