noob news help with front suspension

I think the front struts on my 03 are starting to go bad, they are leaking a little bit of oil. What is a good replacement? I don't want to spend too much, and also don't want to have a harsh ride, cause its a daily driver. What can I do with $500? Should I bother looking at a strut tower bar or springs? Car is completely stock.

Also who's installed their own struts, are there any good articles online on how to do it? Do i just unbolt them, compress the springs, and put in new struts? Or is there more to it? I need an alignment after too right?

For replacements id reccomend Tokico Blues. http://www.dezod.com/cat_shocks2.cfm At the bottom of that page.

Get a strut bar if you feel you need it. Get springs if you want different spring rates or to change ride height. Other wise I see no point in doing it just for kicks.

Here's a link for a spring install. http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=86545 You can follow that if you want to do it yourself, since changing shocks involves the same steps. BTW i've done it before and it's really not that hard.

Next time try searching first. All of those questions have been answered many times before and welcome to the site.

I don't think you'll have any "real" problems. Your car is probably gonna handle weird, it may feel more or less bouncy but as far as being able to drive your car everyday you really shouldn't have any problems.
