strut or spring.. which is more responsible for the rough ride
i recently installed neuspeed sports and kyb-gr2's on my 02 sedan. i find the ride to be quite harsh up front now.. if i kept the gr-2's which are supposed to be 15% stiffer then stock and put the stock springs on would the comfort of the ride increase at all? or do i need to go back to stock totally?

In that case the shocks probably add more stiffness. Even if you go back to stock springs the ride will be slightly rougher, but nothing too bad.
I have the OEM version of weight reduction. DX

Honestly I think it's a combination of both. The Neuspeed springs are known to be a stiff ride, and the fact that you have new aftermarket shocks, will help the stiffness to. If you want a smoother ride, go back to stock dude.
It could also depend on your tires.... are you running stock rims and rubber?

ya i know my tires 205/45/17 arent helping the issue either... gonna try original springs with the new aftermarket shocks and see how the ride is.. if its ok then i'll have some neuspeed sports for sale.. if its no good then i'll go back to stock and have neuspeed sports and kyb gr-2's for sale

GR2s are basically aftermarket stock replacements, if you lowered a car on them, chances are you trashed them too, or are in the process of trashing them.
So its probably a combination of both. The springs are stiffer, but you may have a shock thats not strong enough to dampen the stiffer rates, so it rides like crap.

The sports are NOT a mild drop. Prokits are a mild drop. Sports is an honest to goodness drop. If you read anything about most of the shocks available for this car before you bought your stuff, you'd already know that most of them don't tolerate drops lower than 1 1/2" too well because the car has no travel. Sports do an advertised 1.7 but most people seem to find they settle out to more like a full 2". Half an inch out of the full travel of the suspension is a considerable percentage lost, and its way more than enough to blow out a set of shocks that aren't made to take it.
i'm sure they would settle to closer to 2" or whatever.. but since they were on the car for a whole 3 days i dont think they settled.. anyways they are off the car now and the stock springs are on with the kyb's.. ride is pretty good.. i did read before i got the shocks and springs.. i knew they ride would be rough but i wanted to try it out for myself.. plus alot of people still run the stock shocks with sports for a year or so before they blow.. so i wasnt really concerned with blowing the gr-2's
