just putting the whole assembly on the strut, it doesn't fit, so I guess IDK
well here is the deal, the sleve wont fit over the strut, stock struts, and even if they do the support for the spring is huge, I have 4 rubber O rings I have no idea to do with what, ugh

now I'm stairing at this screen with my car apart outside....

you should probably stop what youre doing before you either do a poor install or break something because it sounds like you dont know what your doing

haha, listen i appreciate the concern, but I've been a mechanic for 5 years, but I've never done sleeved coilovers, I've just heard people having problems because of the various versions for years and have a stock setup, the kid had an 2001 lx sedan, i have a 2001 ex coupe, but it's all the same for 01's no?

nope im almost positive its different, between the ex, dx and lx. Most parts go ex and then dx=lx parts. Could be wrong but if youre having problems its probable because its not the right part.

OK. provided you have the right stuff it really isn't that difficult.( they also should have come with instructions). #1 fronts...you don't have to cut the front spring perch if you don't want to. It just cleans up the install a bit and allows you to slam your car to the lowest setting. on the front you have to pop off the strut cap before you attemp to slide the sleeve on. before you slide the sleeve on, slide on one of the o rings around the body of the frnt strut. then slide the sleeve. and pop back on the cap. slide the spring on then the aluminum spring hat. then bolt the top hat to the strut.
the rears use a rubber sleeve instead of the o ring and they also use a rubber spring hat instead of aluninum. make your left and right setting the same and adjust from there never losing count of how many turns you did on one side.
when i did mine it was gc's first version back in the day yours should be the same hope this helps
