Initial Camber Kit INstallation

So I am finally installing the KYB AGX shocks/struts and Pro-Kit springs this weekend that have been collecting dust in my office for months now. I will also be installing the SPC camber kit. Could someone please direct me to a thread about initial camber kit installation, or will the instructions suffice? I plan to drive a week or so to let the springs settle before getting an official alignment, but I don't want my tires to suffer too much. Thanks.

Make them slightly longer than the stock links, but more importantly, get them even with eachother.

yeah make sure you DO wait a lil bi forst before going to the alignment shop. install the camber kit, and a shop can adjust it, just let them know you have a camber kit and show them what and where it is.

Thanks for the info. We installed and set the rear arms about 1/2" longer than stock, put the wheels on and they looked like this \ / (actually almost that angle too). Drove it to see if it would settle a bit, and they did but not much. Pulled them off and went about 1/4" longer than stock and it looks fine. It should get me to the alignment without too much problem.

Looks like someone is trying to become the new DIY king. An install DIY would be very beneficial for those of us who are still trying to learn this stuff! I know it's just a couple of bolts, but the length of the initial install is the concern.

It may be best if a thread was started that stated what springs were installed and the correlated length of the camber arm. There has to be a quick/easy way to get a specified length of an installed arm. Since there are different manufacturers, I guess the best dimension would be center of bolt to center of bolt. This could be easily measured after an alignment too to see what the camber specs are associated with the arm length. I know other factors play into the camber specs but it would at least be an average starting place.

Haha well I'm only doing tests and reviews on Ingalls products for now.

I'll probably just set the length to what my old camber kit was at on this new one, but I am due for an alignment. Only a few places in town do alignments on lowered cars and they charge a crap load for it.
