theres a difference in bolt size at the knuckle. the 01 has 14mm bolts the 04 has 16mm bolts. so technically the 04's should fit, but theres going to be alot of slack, and its probably not the best idea.
for the springs, buy the EX ones.

cool thanx alot guys. finally a dead on answer. now when u guys say u dont recommend it because of the slack do you mean u dont recommend it as a daily driver because this car is not used for racing its used for daily driving. i appreciate the honest saftey answer but i really dont want to buy new struts and if it can be pulled off i would like to use my brother's struts but if there is no way in hell for a daily car then i suppose i will have to buy new struts. yes the SI is ep3 in america im talking about and the EX is my wife's 01. again thanx for the replies guys

The problem comes from the risk of you hitting a bump on the street and the bolts at the knuckle shifting = camber angles have changed + toe angles have changed... so its more a handling + tire wear risk. so unless you like getting alignments regulary if just to make sure they havent shifted, I'd say its not really a good idea.
