?????anyone have creaky springs??????
I have tein ss, installed them last year. I have noticed the left rear spring seems to squeak. Started noticing it when I would get out of the car. If I take my hand and wiggle or try and rotate the spring while it's under load, it creaks. Anyone else experience this? Should it be something to worry about?

Rep Power: 261 you on stock shocks? that rubber padding thing could have gone out and the spring is rubbing against the strut brace. that is why it would creak when you get in/out, it's rubbing...nothing to worry about. you can always take apart the assembly and put in a new ring.
A lot of people have this problem. I'm on Progress Coilvers and it creaks and pops when i turn at low speed. I've done a lot of research, and the best explanation i could come up with is the bearings and possibly the top mount. 01 bearings and top mount are different from 02-05.

Rep Power: 0 I have the 01 mounts. It is on the rear. I have cut the dust boots, it's not that kind of noise. It is like a creaking noise, and it's certainly comming from just the spring. If I bounce the car up and down it doesn't do it. but if I lightly push the springs, or just spin them with my hand, they squeak....

Rep Power: 261 dude, go out an look at it, see if it is rubbing metal to metal on the base to spring!!! if that's how it looks, have someone else bounce on it while looking/listening at the spring.....go to pepboys and get a rubber 'O' ring for the strut.
