EP3 tokicos on an 04 EM2??

OK maybe I am a bit naive here but what is stopping 04+ EM2s from being able to use EP3 Tokicos? I am almost postitive from what I have read (ingalls site) that the EP3 uses a 16mm front knuckle bolt. So that would solve having to drill out the holes on the tokicos. So what am I overlooking that is stopping us from using them?? Thanks for the help.

And you'll need to order teh 16mm bolts for the front camber, not hard to do. I did it, so can you.

Search FTW!
OK, where exactly does the suspension FAQ address the question I am asking?? I know that the 04 civic uses a 16mm front camber/knuckle bolts (incase you didnt notice I am credited for the "where to drill" photo in the FAQ). The question is "Since the EP3 uses a 16mm front knuckle will it work on the EM2?" Sujak for the FAIL!!!

Also I have searched a few sites that sell tie rod ends & the EP3 & EM2 have the same part #.

I don't think you're missing anything.... but since the EP3 is a bit more of a pig, they may be valved a little bit firmer. Fit wise, it sounds fine.

Thanks Boiler! I thought I covered all my bases BUT I am not all that familiar with the EP3 suspension. I may pickup a front set in the next few weeks & try this out.

Well.... if its just fronts, I don't see the issue. If rears get involved, start checking the location of the spring seat relative to the center of the bottom bolt. My guess is that since the spring height is different, the location of the seat will be too.

Yeah I figured I would just get fronts from the EP3. I will get the rears from an EM2 since there are no fitment issues. Thanks again.

***EDIT***

Actually after looking on tokicos website, I should be able to order a full set for the EP3 & just bolt them in.

Xenin is an unknown quantity at this point
that just says 02 Si. to my knowledge, some of the early EP3s had a 14mm front hole until it got changed later for 16mm. have you called tokico to confirm the hole size?

No, I have not called tokico BUT ingalls (http://www.ingallseng.com/cars/honda.html) only sells the kit for the 2002-2005 civic si in one diameter, 16mm. So based on the information I had at hand I theroized that all SIs use the same size bolt. The few times I have called tokico I have not been able to get really solid reliable answers. Seems I always get the same lady, and she does not really know the "specs" of the product line; just the basics.

You can use EP3 shocks.
Front use 16mm, same as 04+.

Rear is also identical.
