2001 Civic Sedan suspension setup ??? Opinions.

Looking to finally change my suspension setup.

I have decided on the Tokico HP blues struts/shocks on ebay.

But I am having a tough time with the springs?

Any recommendation? Looking for daily driver setup only, witha very mild drop just to get rid of some of the wheel gap. Don't want ot get camber kit to minimize cost. Also want a comfortable ride would prefer nothing worse than stock feeling.

Any ideas ? Any combo sets ?

go with tein S tech springs and those tokico blue shocks good ride quality, if you drop if your gonna need a camber kit for the rear. if you dont do that get ready to buy tires every few months

s tech will sag like crazy. you need a camber kit with ANY drop, so add that to your cost. you dont need shocks right away, mine are still fine after a year of being dropped and 4 years of owning the car. I have eibach prokit but the rear does sag a little like 1 inch.

You should probably wait until you can get a set of used Ground Controls for cheap.
Would cost the same as new springs.

how are the goldlines ?

soo it looks like most people use camber kits? I thought you only needed camber ktis for really aggresive drops. I guess not.

neuspeed sports and goldlines are the only sedan springs that wont sag
eibach sportlines and pro kit will sag very slightly
all other springs will sag significatly in the rear

i'd definately reccomend a camber kit
a $100 camber kit will save you some money because you wont need to change tires as often, and in the long run its worth it

gotcha $100 is ok for full camber kit.

What are the MILDEST dropped springs for the SEDAN??? Only heard of neuspeed sports (1.75" front and 1.5" back ) and GoldLines ( 1.75" front and back)

Looking for something only around 1" for the sedan. Any other springs you guys know of made for sedan ?????

^ you and me are on the same boat. we want a very small drop for sedan

ive seen some tokico blue shocks / springs combo that drop 1" on ebay, there are seperate ones for coupe and sedan so that might be perfect for you

if not, then i suggest get a pro kit, but the *** will sag a bit

found it

But still heavily debating on getting these. What do you think ?

hdave

ya I just messaged the seller, we both have the same sets in mind.

He is willing to drop the price, I will let you know how much he drops it by.

All sedans "sag" in the rear even before dropping

Even before you drop it, the rear end sags a bit on a sedan. I'm in the middle of dropping my ex sedan; I dropped the front end first by just 1.25." The front and rear look almost the same without the rear being dropped. At 67,000 miles the right front strut was already shot. I didn't know it until I took it apart. Now looking back I recognize the symptoms: a bang when I hit a pothole or big bump.

like i just put on my blues with tein s tech, not bad, really not bad, car is stiffer not much bouncing action, but yeah, when i took out the shocks and pushed them and stuff, it felt like the oem shocks were more harder, even the mechanic told me, and im like **** did i just waste $$$??? hes told me not to put it in, but im LIke no i gotta put it in, and hes like ahh w/e suit yourself,

the housing for the springs are a lot smaller therefore it was lower than my stocks, but felt nice, wasnt too hard wasnt too soft, just what i wanted nothing too extreme.

ok, well the HFP springs give a 2 inch drop. on stock shocks. just different springs. so im dropped 1.3/1.4. ill be fine. so will you guys. just don't bottom out. duh lol.
and also there is no camber kit on a HFP civic after the 2 inch drop. meaning stock camber settings are used.
