Rims help

ok i have a 2002 civic(4door) . And have droped it 2 1/4in. in the front and 2 in rear . Im looking to get rims now but dont no how big i can go with out rubbing or eating tries ever 20,000 miles. I wos looking at 16 or17 . will this work or can i go bigger

rims are sized independent of the height of the car. Anything can be stuck in there with some work and fooling around. The life of a tire is dependent on the tire. Do some homework, figure out how these things string together.
