Exclamation Tokico HP - INFO HELP

My HP's arrived today and will be getting installed tomorrow afternoon. I will take them to a machine shop to get them drilled. However I still can't see any images on this site???? I don't use Norton & don't have a firewall setup!

I need to give this information to the guys doing the work. Can someone please email me the image that's on the sticky... which shows which holes to bore to 16mm from 14mm.

Also "on the Tokico's the hole for the steering end link needs to be opened a little aswell". Why and how much is a little?

Thanks I'll need to get some replies within the next 8 hours. email: tomolowicz@hotmail.com

I am not sure about your app but mine did not require you to drill them.

Sweet I found it and also got your email - thanks heaps.

Only other thing - Mine didn't come with the black rubber pieces around the rod - does it matter, despite the obvious that theres more chance of crap getting onto the rod?

the black rubber thing...you already have it on your car, re use it. the 16mm change should be world wide and not just certain regions.

Ok Cool, didn't know it was a OEM piece, I will reuse the rubber thing. And yes I checked with Honda the Aus Civic are the same storey 03+ 16mm, so you are correct it's a world wide change

I'll have the car tomorrow morning and will post an update on my opinon on the ride - I know it will be heaps heaps better then just on the springs I think my shocks are shot already after only 2months on the springs.

Drilling & Installing them was no problem, so after going 3500 kms on them over the past 2 weeks, this is my opinion:

The handling has increased significantly, for example I notice much greater feedback especially when attacking mountainous roads with tight bends usually I would need to brake to around 85 km/h (52 miles). Now I can really push tight bends up to 120 km/h (75 miles). Really put a smile on my face on the first few bends I must admit

I do quite a bit of Highway driving and would say that overall they are pretty good for long distance and track use. As for street, you do notice the pot holes etc and if you really hit a nasty one it’s gonna go straight through your spine.

So overall I would say that they are just a tad on the firm side. However from other reviews that I’ve read on full Coilovers they should be quite softer.

Big drop, would be too low for me, but wonder how long that drop will last on the HP's.

Also installed my RSX Type S, rear sway today. Feels nice! Quite happy with the suspension and handeling @ the moment.

Hey tomola you got the same setup as I plan to! well as of now I installed my tein s-tech's w/ tokico hp's...and by myself too!! went pretty well considering I never really installed anything big on a car before. I didn't know a thing about suspension but thanks to mex's diy I now believe anything is possible! I plan on getting a rsx swaybar and installing it too. I will post pics of my drop on the suspension drop post soon. thanks guys for all your suspension info!! ;-)

p.s. the ride is great! handling is oh so much better than before. and the drop is perfect in my opinion. tein s-tech + tokico = the way to go!! :-P

If only I had know earlier how god dahm sweet & easy it is to change the rear sway bar I would have done It ages ago! Awesome mod for the money and 10 mins work. Picked it up at a local wrecker for $100 AU (70 US), off a Type S that had only done 2000 miles.
