ground control coilovers

i have a question about ground controls. I had them on my car and every time i jacked up my car to do an oilchange or somthing the bearings fell out and they made a horrible popping noise. for those of you that have ground controls do your bearings fall out? i took the bearings out from their stock place and placed them on top of the spring hat that was provided by ground control anddidnt use the stock one. should i of used the stock one on top of ground controls??? i ended up swaooing the gc's for nuespeed race but now i wanna put the gc's back on.

Do you have the correct GCs for the correct year? Every time Honda changed the steering bearings, GC made new upper mounts. Make sure you have the right one. I can't answer the question directly because I made my own upper mounts, but you could put some tape in the bearing seat and press the lower race of the bearing into the mount so it stays together.

There's GCs for 01, there's GCs for 02, and there's GCs for 03-05. The upper front seats vary by steering bearing size. Just stick some masking tape in the recess for the bearing, sticky side down and push the bearing in. The point is to make it fit tight so the seat doesn't fall off.
