ok here is the deal im going to be designing and fabricating my own front and rear strut bars. Right now im looking at making the front one go from one strut to the firewall and then to the other strut. The rear is going to be a triangle, the base will be between the 2 struts, and connect to the bottom of the trunk passthrough, and the top of the triangle will be on the upper, inside of the trunk passthrough. I figure these should stiffen up the car enough to make adjusting the suspension more accurate once i have one, and allow me to keep track of my camber curves more accuratly. Before i actually fabricate the bars i was wondering of anyone has a thoughts about anything else i have missed.

i emailed passwordjdm a few weeks ago and they said they are making one for the rsx and ep3's next. maybe the rsx bar will fit on the 7thgen since so bars like the spoon and greddy bar fit. its a shot or you can fab yourself one which would be cool also. wouldn't that hit our intake's thou since ours are mounted differently than everybody else ??

yea, almost, the main thing is that subarus as you can see in the picture braces behind the rear seat, my civic has a big whole bc the seats fold and that whole isn't a triangle for stiffness, it is a paralellogram, which can make the paralellogram effect happen especially in corners where one side has more load while the other has less.

That is the strongest part of the car. Rear strut bars do nothing for our cars because our struts housings aren't raised. You are bracing a part of the car and it won't do virtually anything. Not that I want to discourage you, but you should take a look at where the car flexes already.

All the rear does is reinforce the floor pan. Not really much point if you ask me (despite me having a bar back there). Besides that, reinforcing it to the rear decklid doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The front bar, well, you'd have to check the thickness of the firewall and make sure you could tap holes in it first considering there are none.
And What camber curve? They're struts.

The EP3/RSX front triangular braces will almost certainly NOT fit our cars at least not with a D17. We have that nasty vertical TB and that whole bit is pretty much in the way of where any structurally sound strut tower brace ought to go. IMO the best bar on the market at the moment is the Neuspeed, it's strong, light and packaged well.
There are already a dozen braces of varying quality and price on the market anyways. If you have the tools and want to do something really useful machine a pillow ball camber plate upper mount for those of us with larger diameter shock shafts on their coilover shocks and a floating upper spring perch so that we can ditch the crappy stock perch and bearings.

I realise that the rear is strong, but i saw this pic, and figured that it could use some bracing.

and as car as comber curves go, when you change your ride height it changes and as you change your camber by the upper link it changes, so there you have 2 ways to narrow down how you want the camber to be in your car.
