strut bars?

ok before anyone says to search, i did that already. My question is this...what exactly are strut bars, and what do they do?

EDIT: so all they do is improve handling on corners? which would fit with an AEM cai?

They provide better handling while cornering.......and make your car look cool (c'mon, you know the latter is the biggest reason most of us buy those expensive pieces of metal).

Since engine bays are open, and there is no support to hold it all together, there is actually quite a bit of flex that goes on during cornering, and stuff. So strut bars help to stop/minimize flexing thus you get better cornering!

if all you wanted to do was point out my inferiority in searching, and not actually help or answer the question...the all i have to say is BLOW ME!! you provided me with no help, bartkat, and if you don't like answering retarded questions from people who don't know anything about cars, then don't bother to read the posts.

I was always told that the only stupid question is the one not asked, so i asked. since i didn't know the answer, and was hoping for help, not ridicule. but thank you for your help bartkat....it means so much.

I posted the list of threads that are in this section alone. There are more. Just trying to help you educate yourself. No need for the bad boy talk.

Then try and control your emotiions. This iis not romper room. "Blow me" can be taken as fighting words and I don't think you want to start. You're not a newbie, so you should be able to find your way around the boards by yourself.
