Which brand coilovers???
Which brand coilovers???
G'day, I'm about to purchase me a set of coilovers.. can anyone tell me about the different brand coilovers there are, and their prices??
I've looked up a few, but their prices are crazy..like somthin over $1500USD.
Then Ive looked up Skunk2 and they're less than 400bucks..
I guess the ride quality IS different but the cost is insane... Any suggestions?? and can anyone with skunk2's on their car please tell me how the ride feels?(bumps/stiffness etc..)
Oh! and im looking for something that can lower 3" or more..
My ride is 2004 civic 4door hatchback from aussie.it has the same setup as da sedan.

um, ya... you really need to do more reasurch before you start throwing parts at the car in the hopes of making it handle better.
any way, the reason for the price difference is because one comes with a damper... the other doesnt. and thats what you are paying extra for. Dampers by the way are probably the most overlooked yet one of the most important parts of your suspension, given that they influence just about ever aspect of the cars performance, from braking and acceleration to handling.
Given that you want to lower the car excessivly, you will need a differnt damper the the oem ones. other wise your ride quality, handling and general safety of the car will be comprimised. So, you can either buy a good damper seperatly, or you can buy a setup that comes with a damper.... either way your going to need one.
