Lowering in P.A.

Any one out their who lives in western pa, close to pittsburgh area who's lowered have you ran into any problems, scraping bottoming out ect ? and what spring's or coil overs are you using and how far you lowered.

anywhere you are you're going to scrape some place... Mostly its the exhaust hanging low that scrapes... and I'm lower then 2 inches...

i live close to washington and the roads are bad around here as you know i was thinking ab the eibach sportlines or the progress sport. Progress is a little lower but i don't want to have any problems. what do you sugest.

You'll be good if you don't drop it too low. Just get a good set of shocks along with your springs. I suggest some sportlines or neuspeed sports. Good drop but not too low with tokico HP's. You just have to learn to drive more carefully once you're lowered; slow over curbs, bumps, avoid potholes. And avoid steep curbs all together, but if you must-drive up at an angle to avoid bottoming out.

Ive only scraped once on a really tall speed bump with my Sportlines. But this was with a 250 lb passenger and a 150 guy in the back on 205/40/17 tires and wheels.

I live in western pa, Johnstown. I am currently lowering my 04 civic. with Konis and ground controls. so in the winter months i can raise it back up for winter driving. i would recommend something you can adjust.

i looked into coilovers and their expensive, I just spent alot on cf hood, exhaust, sway bar's so i'm kinda hurting. Maby i'll go with the sportlines or the progress technology.

i live in eastern pa, i got b&g dropped 2.25+ on 16's and im fine. i was fine with it lowered in the winter as well. just kno the roads and dont hit speed bumps and what not. only bottom out on the sides cuz xenon sides are super low.

you car looks sick that what i want to do but can't right now, my car is a daily driver. Once it's payed off them i slam it and get a body kit. Will i be ok with progress technology spring's ?

you should look into the TEIN s-techs springs they ride nice and don't drop that low but i heard that they sag on sedans but don't know

i'm looking at progress technology springs, havent decided on shocks \ strut's yet.
