ive been looking into the neuspeed front tie bar lately, just to get a better feel when i drive. im wondering what about the rear? i saw boilermaker's cusco rear tie bar i guess? what does that accomplish?
and if i do purchase these items, do i replace any oem bars, or do i just install them and go?

I think you mean stut bars. They stiffen up the chassis so it doesnt flex as much. You may or may not feel any difference other then knowing that its there. Our cars dont come with any strut bars, only sway bars on some models. But yes, install and go in most cases.

i have neuspeed front upper and lower strut bar's, neuspeed rear lower tie bar and neuspeed rear sway bar with intergrated tie supoport. Amasing how much it helps with handeling ect.

I don't want to be mean, but please read the FAQ before you buy any parts. If you have no idea what the part does, then you shouldn't be buying it. Is there any particular reason you want a strut bar? IF not, then don't buy it.

03 civicEX4 door, there is NO LOWER STRUT BAR! It is an X brace. Also, you can't have both the neuspeed rear lower tie and the neuspeed rear sway with integrated tie bar, BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE SAME PART.

Rear strut bars will do little to improve handling. AGain, please read the FAQ.

I am using both. The tie bar conects to the sub frame and the sway bar supports the controll arm bolt's. Both will work together with no problem's.

Huh? did you have to drill for that? Every integrated tie bar I have seen plugs right into the control arm bolts. Why would you want both anyway? If you have an integrated tie, why buy another one?

for the tie bar yes you have to drill into the sub frame. I bought the tie bar first not knowing the sway bar had intergrated tie support insted of trying to sell tie bar i just use both .

After i installed my Neuspeed upper strut bar i could feel a slight difference.

i noticed a little difference with the tie bar, but a big difference with the sway bar with intergrated tie bar support.

I've got the Neuspeed front strut tower brace and a lower X-brace in the front, I found that they really helped alot. They help more the more aggressive you get with your tires and suspension.

On our cars I don't beleive that a rear upper brace is really nessecery, I tried it for a while and found that it tended to cause understeer and made the rear end less progressive and kindof snapish. Stick with the lower Tiebar/swaybar mount to protect your subframe, especially if you've got a bigger sway bar.

Only complaint without the rear upper brace is that on track the trunk lid rattles in the corners while it stops with a brace in.

Rear under tie bars aren't a performance part, they are chassis bracing if you have a bigger sway. A rear strut bar on our car won't do very much. The best bang right now is a rear sway or a set of front/rear sways.

ok, therefore i scratched the rear strut. plus i dont wanna bother with sways, not planning on using it much. so i guess the front strut for a better feel.

only time I EVER heard of anyone drillin into the car was for the '01 non EX/Si models because they didn't come factory with a rear/lower sway bar. That's why there were adapter kits made for them. I know the design changed for '04 a little but still, no drilling.

Thats the thing, Chassis reinforcements will have Very little effect on the handling balance of the car (when and where it oversteers/understeers). They will make the car "feel" better and some can improve repsonsiveness a bit, but the car will still handle like it did before. If you want to actually alter the cars handling, you need to tweak with Springs, anti-roll bars and Shocks.

You can actually get the Progress Rear sway/tie combo w/ front lower sway at a decent price if you get them as a set. The rear sway and tie come together as a set only but usually when you add the front sway they give you a revised price.

also, the bars are now powder coasted charcoal as is the tie bar. This kit is really nice, I loved mine when I had it. buying it again now..lol.
