need some help
hello everyone. I saw that this had been talked about in some other threads, but I never got an answer. I installed GC on my 03 sedan, and when I turn now, I get a popping sound. I called GC and they said that I put the strut bearing on incorrectly, and they were right, I did. BUT, I fixed it and I am still getting the popping. I think the problem is with that little aluminum hat that sits on top of the spring. I think I have it upside down, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have pics of their front GC's so I can see if mine are upside down? Thank you!

have you installed them recently?? if so , the popping noise is normal, especially when turning....the spring just needs time to sit right. it happens to me too everytime i do a spring job.....greasing it good would also help

vaseline would work fine, i used that a couple times and greased both parts of the spring (top/bottom) and especially where it sits....but i wouldnt worry, give it at least a couple weeks

really, it just sounds terrible. Thats all it will take is just vaseline? Do I need to put it on the actual spring itself? Also, did it take your springs a couple weeks to stop making that sound?

the springs are brand new and have never really been squished down with the load of the car weight....so it just takes them a little time to settle and then they're good to go.
