Tein basic?? is that good for me??
Well I just want to make sure that I'm making the right decision here.
1) have any of you bought from true honda?? the vendor on this site. If you have bought from them, what was your experience like??
2) Tein SS or Tein Basics??
I'm leaning towards the tein basics because I don't really race or autocross my car. I think the SS is just overkill. Should I be getting the basics?? am I making the right decision??
also how's the omni power coilover suspension??

i bought my tein SS from truehonda. No problems to report. I don't autocross, but I opted for the Tein SS because i wanted to be able to adjust my shocks. The tein basic is just that - basic, so you install them, set your height and roll. I like to tinker with my dampers though, and I've had them for a week, and I must say THEY ROCK. I love my tein SS, I used to have neuspeed sports and koni adjustables, but the SS take the cake. Far superior handling and a much more comfortable ride with the same drop. If you were thinking of slamming your car, don't go with tein. the SS wont give you more than a "sport" drop.
i have the basics and love them but the answer to you question is do you really need a adjustable damper that is nice to have in many ways or do you want something that is $200-300 cheaper but you cant adjust but the ride is already good

ok... thanks for the input guys. I think I will order them for true honda. I don't really mind if I can't adjust the damper. For $300 USD more, I'd rather spend it on something else, LOL. I don't want to slam my car. I just want good suspension setup, with a minimal gap. I will still leave wheel gap, but not much. I hate the tucked look.
If your going to order from truehonda.com why don't u consider the B+G coilovers? I heard those are pretty damn good too. I'd also say take a look at the Omnis but they seem to be taking forever...
its been posted here a few times....Im just repeating what I read about 3-4 times...thats why I said Im gonna install and find out for sure...but looking at the threads I doubt it can be SLAMMED...but again I heard that now you are able to slam them like B+G coilovers

lol....well, I'll do a search later on today on the site when I get home...and I'll measure the length of the threads on my coilovers and take a pic...to me in my personal opinion, it doesnt "look" different from others but, I havent seen any older Tein's in a long time...
Hey bud, btw thanks everyone for supporting us! Just wanted to let you know that we have both in stock right now, Tein Basic and BG. The Basics are gonna be $899 Shipped and the BG Coilovers are also $899 shipped unless you call within the next two days where you can get a bit of a discount off.
BG: We had them on our 01 coupe and loved them to every bit. Rocks in street driving and actually progressivly gets stiffer when going faster or cornering.
Tein Basics: Heard very good things about them and have sold over 20 sets to members on this board alone! its a good setup and also has the Tein name.
Its just a battle between Japan VS. Sweden
(Remember, Porsche and other top manufacturers in Europe use unbranded BG suspension as stock
)
