Spring Compression Ratio
Spring Compression Ratio
hey, i have a 2004 Honda Civic EX and i was just wondering if anyone knew the spring compression ratio or where to find it. I am interested in purchasing lowering spring and i want to know how my compression ratio is going to change. Also, if anyone has any good springs they know about please point them out to me. I am only looking for a 1"-2" drop.

I don';t know if anyone knows the stock spring rates. Please read the FAQ in my signature. Your ride will get stiffer because lowering springs are anywhere from 20-35% stiffer than stock. Again, the FAQ has a lot of information.

They're progressive. So knowing the rate is pointless because whatever they show up on a test machine as is the rate for a small instant.

civrunainfnluva, are you asking for the Motion Ratio? or the spring rates?
But boilermakers Right, the stock springs are Progressive, so even if some one dyno'd the springs, all they could tell you were the Min and Max spring rates.
