My GoldLInes after 2 years - BROKEN - PICS
Here are my rear coils after 2 years. Springs don't look well.
I like the drop and look but one coil got broken. I've bought my coils from tornactive.com and still have recipt ..
I'll try to call and get them replaced under warranty.
Any sugestions.... welcome.

Wow, I'm glad everything went so smoothly with Goldline. They sound easy to deal with! Btw, did you have to show them your proof of purchase or receipt?

got me a little worried. Ive had mine on for about 6 or 7 months, and have been nice to me so far. But, the lifetime warranty is nice, also with my tokicos. I have to have some sort of warranty on most my purchases (anything a few hundred or more) that are important to my daily driving.
I didn't show the receipt. But I tell the guy that I bought the springs from tornactive.com . I still have this receipt and original box.. so I'll make one copy and I'll send it to the Goldline later on. Didn't receive the new set yet... still waiting .
YES .. springs are rusty .. it may be Illinois winter problem .. lots of salt on roads... looks bad.

No offense Vinilman, but I hate it when people like to bash things just because they were gotten at a good price. My goldlines were $99 shipped, and it was a great investment. I have not had one problem with them. There is no need to call them crap when one person has a problem.

I don't care for my goldlines at all. The fronts are totally shot and bottom out all the time. I've put my stock springs back in because I couldn't stand them bottoming out all the time.

I'm not complaining about the struts. I have a problem with how fatigued the springs have become. my stock springs are stiffer than the goldlines are. If a spring is going to have less travel, it needs to have higher rates to keep the car fom bottoming out, which goldlines fail to do.
I see you have Gold-lines? have you been in cars lowered with different springs and stock struts? because I have and I can tell you that they are all better. Yes I could buy konis to compensate for the shitty springs. But I shouldn't have to.

Your stock spring rates are higher than goldlines? I REALLY doubt that.
Bottom line is Goldlines are to low for stock struts, they work VERY well with a strut that is designed for a low drop.....................Konis. Mine still ride and look great after 2 years. But then again im not riding through snow and salt like the topic starter is.
Do you have the version 1 or version 2 goldlines? The version 2 fronts are not as stiff as the version 1 front springs, version 2 has 1 less coil also on the fronts.

Hmm I would say I have the version 2s. They were the ones which addressed the sagging problems of the version 1 rear springs (about 2 years old). I just changed my springs out to stock last week and compared the stock springs to my old goldlines and found that i was less able to compress the stock springs versus the goldlines. My observation while driving is that the goldlines feel as though they were designed for a much lighter car. they make the front of the car feel like it weighs a ton, and they make the car bounce and dip even over the smallest undulation.

I'm sure Goldline's specifications claim an increase in the spring rate. And I agree that they were somewhat stiffer than stock when they were new. As I've mentioned before, they don't stay that way for long. What I found was that the springs fatigue and lose their elasticity prematurely.
