how to clean coilover?

im riding with my b&g during winter
i dont think its a good thing but.... lets say i dont have a choice
but how do or what could i use to wash the coilover
dust is starting to pile-up around the threads

anyone else use their coilover during winter?

wrap the exposed threads with some waterproof tape. Thats what i did. I find the threads are soo fine, that even if the smallest amount of dirt gets in the threads, the adusters are impossible to loosen.
